COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: At the Amager brewery we are comfortably situated far away from small-town modesty; we are not afraid of excess, and the term “moderation” is simply not found in our vocabulary. To us, gluttony is considered a virtue rather than a sin - at least when it comes to one thing: hops! While making this beer we targeted the hops which shone brightest in our hop room, as if they were almost begging to be used in copious quantities. And that is what we did, as befits a Double IPA of the highest caliber. We have squandered to a sinful degree - and we love it. And we bet that you will too!
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

Shared bottle @ Cardinal. Pours golden with a nice thick white head. Thick aromas of spices, fruits and some hops. Full body. The bitterness helps to conceal the alcohol. An interesting brew.

500ml bottle generously shared by Finn 18.06.14. This being the fifteenth (and last) brew sampled at our XXXVI Rating Session, me and my fellow ratebeerians were probably guilty of gluttony in the form of excessive drinking. Fruity aroma. Amber orange body. Citrus, wood, herbs and dry finish.

0,5 bottle Hazy orange medium sized head. Ok Apperance: unclear orange with a vey nice packed (2 fingers sized)slightly tanned head, with a excellent retention. Leaving light amount of lacing Aroma: Citrus(lime, grapefruit, oranges), a bit of grass, spicy/peppery yeast notes int the back Taste: Big bitter citrus and tropical fruit taste, the some sweet caramel ones, a hint of grain and pepper come in before it finishes the fruity and piney hops come back for a bitter finish. Medium body, creamy texture, Moderate carbonation At first is very impressive, but the problem here is that overtime bottle it becomes very one dimensional and the diverstiy and complexity of the first sip is missing. This would be solved with a smaller bottle. But now the last part of the 0,5 L is he part that you start to think was it really that great. Don’t get me wrong this is still a very good DIPA, but the first sip was really much more then good.

Potent hoppy aroma of citrus and tropical fruits, pine, caramel malt. Flavour is very fruity, a little sweetness, with a long lasting bitter aftertaste. Quite thick body. Powerful DIPA.

Tart citrus and pepper notes on the nose. Head formed well, loosely packed larger bubbles. Medicinal tastes at the front of the mouth alongside some stonefruit. Bitterness lingers at the back of the tongue, but despite this, actually finished quite dry.

Draught @ Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours hazy amber wit airy off-white head. Clear aroma of hops, malt and fruit, with touches of yeast. Intense, bitter, hoppy flavour, with well-pronounced notes of fruit and citrus. Lingering, bitter aftertaste. Lively carbonation. Rich, round body. Good.

Pours a hazy golden with white head. You can tell just from pouring this that it is thick and full bodied. The aroma is amazing, full of citrus and pine, with mangos and peach, backed up by a sense of the sweetness to come. The taste is probably a little sweet for my liking, however it is nonetheless fantastic. A strong caramel comes through first, the the fruit and pine rounding it out nicely. Rather oily texture with moderate carbonation
