COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: At the Amager brewery we are comfortably situated far away from small-town modesty; we are not afraid of excess, and the term “moderation” is simply not found in our vocabulary. To us, gluttony is considered a virtue rather than a sin - at least when it comes to one thing: hops! While making this beer we targeted the hops which shone brightest in our hop room, as if they were almost begging to be used in copious quantities. And that is what we did, as befits a Double IPA of the highest caliber. We have squandered to a sinful degree - and we love it. And we bet that you will too!
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

50 cl bottle @ home. Pours cloudy golden with a little sediment and an off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is caramel, exotic fruits, and pine. Flavour is exotic fruits, caramel, and pine - with a dry finish.

Nice mix of pine, citrus and slightly sweet malt. Probably the most vibrantly hoppy (and bitter) European IPA or IIPA I’ve had. Medium to full bodied and slightly sticky and warming. That stood out, and as it warmed the aroma especially got better and better. Good stuff. Looking forward to a couple more in this series."

Bottle from the brewery beer release day, served in big crystal wine glass that closes like a snifter (very important which glass to pour beer in! Not always the designated glasses of the brewers/bars are the best! Test different ones for yourself and see for yourself - try to trap the released aromas this way, in my opinion the aroma makes or breaks a beer). Full orangy citrus india pale ale with balanced bitterness (slight; thank god!). Beautiful aroma-taste balance and what a lingering mildness! 9.4 ABV, full bodied, pouring dark orange with consistent foam head. Lacing is viscosy. Plums, citrus, creamy aftertaste. Beautiful DIPA, although the title Imperial (D) IPA would be in order. Glad to have 11 left.. Gluttony all the way!

Sampled at ESBLS. It poured a hazy orange color with a white head. The aroma was of citrus, mango, tangerine, dried fruit, bread, caramel and grapefruit. The taste was dry and bitter with notes of citrus, caramel, grain and bread. Thanks strykzone.

Sampled at ESBLS. Hazy golden with a white ring. Sweet tropical fruit in the nose is very nice and rich. This is a sweet beer. Fruit and rich soft malts. Not caramel. Bitterness grows and is citrus. Heat is well hidden.
