COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: At the Amager brewery we are comfortably situated far away from small-town modesty; we are not afraid of excess, and the term “moderation” is simply not found in our vocabulary. To us, gluttony is considered a virtue rather than a sin - at least when it comes to one thing: hops! While making this beer we targeted the hops which shone brightest in our hop room, as if they were almost begging to be used in copious quantities. And that is what we did, as befits a Double IPA of the highest caliber. We have squandered to a sinful degree - and we love it. And we bet that you will too!
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

16-OCT-2011, bottle @home, bought today @ "Fish & Beer". Pours slightly hazy orange with lasting low beige head. Malty fruity nose with a bitter ending. Taste is really bitter with grape fruit and pine. But also a candy like character. Ends dessert wine like and extremely bitter. Really compex taste with a nutty cheasy element, and then the overwhelming bitterness. What a treat from the locals:-)

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2012 Bottle, 50 cl. Light hazy golden with a beautiful, huge, quite stable white head. Aroma are ripe tropical fruitiness, very hoppy, earth, alcohol, malt. Rather sweet flavor, bitter hoppy, exotic fruit melange, pine, earth. Long, lingering finish. Huge and alcoholic. Not exactly elegant, though.

Bottle at SBWF 2011. It poured a pale golden liquid with a small white head. Smell of sweet pale malts and an intense hoppy aroma. Similar taste with a wide hoppy aroma, maybe to many since it lost some of it’s complexity. Lean and light body. Very easy to drink. Should probably be appreciated better in larger quantities.

Bottle from Slowbeer. Very rich and balanced. Aromas of caramel, biscuit, nuts, and grass. Taste starts sweet, with bitterness taking over for a long finish. Palate is silky, and full bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

Last beer of the year :). 500 ml bottle @ Bishops Arms: Örebro on December 30. Pours hazy golden with a small white head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace. Smell is slightly sweet and very hoppy with pine, peaches, apricot, grapefruit and orange zest. Taste is sweet and very bitter with tons of pine, orange zest, lemon zest, grass, resin and unripe peaches. Finish is slightly sweet and very bitter. Extreme and a bit unbalanced but still very nice.
