COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: We asked our smartass marketing director what beer would be a good choice for the sin of Greed. He only pondered for a sec and then said: “We should simply do as all the big players do: make a cheapass beer and sell it at a premium prize – that’s greed for you alright”. Our marketing director is a smart guy, so of course we did what he said. We even put a picture of him on the label. The beer however turned out pretty badass. It’s a straight up German Pilsener without any fuss. Dig it – we do.
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

Brewed from pilsener malts, Tettnanger and Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops and a Southern German lager yeast.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow beer with a nice, two finger white head on top. Medium carbonation in the glass. Aroma is typical pilsener; not much special to mention here. Some grassy influences. Flavour is medium bitter and refreshing. I had this on a hot evening and it is quenching. Medium long, bitter finish that lingers on the tongue quite long. Very good pilsener, not the best Amager beer.

50cl, new exclusive Danish brew Anno 2012, from De Molen Beershop Bodegraven, not complex brew, malty and slightly floral/woody, balanced, hazy, good head, nice brew

500ml bottle, batch 561. Pours a slightly hazy medium straw, with a white head. Malty, hoppy aroma, grass, bread, grass, yeast, bisquits. Dry, medium bodied, high bitterness, balanced CO2. Malty, hoppy taste, caramel, bisquits, grass, yeast, mineral, the faintest of diacetyl. Quite true to style, well made (as can be expected from these guys), but however funny the joke is, it is still ridiculously over priced. As it warms up, I pick up some acetic notes on the nose, which I don’t really agree with. (2013-06-04)

@Ølfestival København 2013 - pretty clear golden beer with a little foam left; decently hoppy with notes of straw and grass, medium-bodied and with a correct bitterness, clean palate; the finish shows a grassy hoppiness, quite long lasting

100ml taster, tap at Ølfestival København. Yellow-gold body, close to clear. Dotted spots to the glass. Dissipating white head. Bread-like malty nose, mild spices to it. Pale malty taste mixed with herbal hops. Short-lived bittersweet ending. Smooth. Ok pilsener (Copenhagen, 23.05.2013).

Draught. Chalky aroma. Almost clear yellow colour. Very big stable chalk white head. The flavour is mildly malty and not very bitter. But clean.

Tap @ Bryggens Oelbar, Cph. Pours hazy pale golden with a little green hue. Nice creamy white head. Aroma has grass, light brewing cereal, sweetness. Medium carbonation, grainy and light dry mouthfeel. Flavour is dry, very grassy, light grainy malts, some brewing cereal. Blah.
