COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: We asked our smartass marketing director what beer would be a good choice for the sin of Greed. He only pondered for a sec and then said: “We should simply do as all the big players do: make a cheapass beer and sell it at a premium prize – that’s greed for you alright”. Our marketing director is a smart guy, so of course we did what he said. We even put a picture of him on the label. The beer however turned out pretty badass. It’s a straight up German Pilsener without any fuss. Dig it – we do.
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

Brewed from pilsener malts, Tettnanger and Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops and a Southern German lager yeast.

Aroma of hay, bread, grass, some hops. Flavour is grassy and a bit hoppy, with a solid bitterness in the aftertaste. The relatively high bitterness made this an above-average Pilsner for me, generally not being a fan of the style.

Bottle. Golden yellow and clear with a fine white head. The aroma is of pale malt, straw, grassy and lightly citric hops. The flavour is light malt, a little mineral-ish, grassy with a dry and bitter finish. Crisp and clean. Perhaps slightly more bitter than the style demands, which suits me fine.

50cl Bottle Appearace: . Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma: grain, light sulphur, sweet malts, light citrus hoppyess Taste: Medium sweet, grainy, light malts, very Light floral. Thi body, medium carboation. It’s great Germa Pilsner everything there without any off tastes, but this is ot my style as it’s a bit too limited.

50cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy golden colour, thin white head. Aroma of grain, some sulphur, sweet malts (not like bread though), light floral, hint of honey, somewhat dusty, light hoppy. Flavour is light to medium-sweet, light malty, honey, flowers, a bit fizzy, hint of grain, light grassy hoppy finish. Feels watery and the finish is a bit thin and short. Expected more.

Bottle at Amager event at Mikkeller Bangkok. Pours VERY straw/pale yellow. The aroma is mild hoppy. It’s a good beer for the style, but not my preferred style.

In short: a pretty decent lager.
Pours hazy hay colour, with some nice white head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Citrusy aromas. Light body, high carbonation, crispy texture. Taste follows the nose. Quite nice lager, but i was expecting more from a member of this awesome series.Somehow dissapointing.

Faded golden with slight haze. Thick and lathery white foam exhibits stellar retention. Lemony, herbaceous and flowery hops comprise the elegant aroma along with dusty yeast, butter cookies, melon, new mown hay and baguette. Distant whiff of nectarine and flower nectar. Soft, fine-bubbled carbonation. Pillow-soft maltiness caresses the tongue and fills the mouth with fresh baguette, bouncy hay and cracker dough. Flowery hops deposit ample nectar alongside a burst of refined oils for added depth and allure. Graceful pils malt soon takes on a delectable lemon cake sweetness. Hop bitterness is quite subdued, but the abundance of elegant hop flavor compensates nicely. Clean and characterful yeast coarsens the remarkably soft body as does a twinge of minerals. Pervasive but nonintrusive yeast also adds ample muscle to the already sturdy pils malt foundation. Closes softly lemony and complexly malty with cakelike flavors dabbed with a delicate butter cookie sweetness and lingering nectar. Well isn’t this a lovely little number! I guess they were going for a pils, but this screams kellerbier all the way down the gullet. And a very authentic one. Certainly softer than the Franconian examples, so I guess it could be more mouthwateringly minerally. Would love to see the bitterness ramped up few notches, but it’s quite clean and quaffable, features an exquisite hoppiness and luscious malt, and the bottle-conditioning, which has been masterfully executed, serves as a huge bonus. Delightful.
