COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: We asked our smartass marketing director what beer would be a good choice for the sin of Greed. He only pondered for a sec and then said: “We should simply do as all the big players do: make a cheapass beer and sell it at a premium prize – that’s greed for you alright”. Our marketing director is a smart guy, so of course we did what he said. We even put a picture of him on the label. The beer however turned out pretty badass. It’s a straight up German Pilsener without any fuss. Dig it – we do.
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

Brewed from pilsener malts, Tettnanger and Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops and a Southern German lager yeast.

(Bottle) Golden colour with lasting white head, leaving traces of lacing. Malty nose with notes of crisp-bread, citrus, peaches, hints of tropical fruit and fresh grassy, herbal hops. Malty, hoppy taste with bread, hay, citrus and a fresh, generous, grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Solid and well made German style pilsener, with a fresh hop presence. They could easily make this a permanent offering as their "standard" lager. Nice one.

murky lemon, thinnest white ring. Stale soap and wheat nose, metallic and thin lemon reminiscent of adjunct lagers. Thin lemon and corn at front, stale grains are empty due to fizzy carbonation that assaults palate, syrupy end shows more corn, too sweet in the lingering fizz, even light booze.

Light yellow/gold. Thick rich short head good lace, like whipped eggwhite. Classic pilsner aroma, grass, sweet grainy, lemon, bright crisp-good. Fullish mouthfeel, somewhat grassy, lemon, citrus, somewhat bready/mealy but almost light at the same time. Pretty good.Dry finish.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2014 Hallertau and Tettnanger hops jump from the glass with peppery and citric lemon, lavender and orange blossom, while the musty basement, sulfur and calcium carbonate minerality is a nod to well-crafted Franconian lager... yep, my boy Ernest was right, this is straight up Kellerbier. Clean malt, juicy, succulent, not a trace of husk... the hops are vibrant, carbonation soft and seemingly natural... it’s a joy to smell and the fine, silky texture combined with a washing of noble hop acid does it for me. heck of a lager here from Amager, it’s a shame it has been largely panned by drinkers.

Hazy yellow with fluffy white head. Medium collar and decent staying power on the head. Aroma is grassy, dry funk, and light use of lemon. Taste is very similar, with the yeasty funk playing a bigger role. Thin body, low carbonation.

Caña en el lúpulo. 21-04-2014 Color rubio traslucido. Una pilsener con bastantes sabores maltosos algo cítricos con espuma blanca muy poco persistente. Muy refrescante y fácil de beber con un cuerpo ligero. Para repetir.

Cunningham (4629) - Halden, NORWAY - APR 21, 2014
Appearance: Light hazy and pale golden color with a fine white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Malty and moderate hoppy.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate smooth sweetness, and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Plain crisp malty, mild fruity and lovely balanced fresh mild citric hoppy tail.
Overall impression: I like the advertising on this bottle. I am a sinner as well and I definitely liked this lager in the hot Easter sun while doing some gardening. I wish all lagers where quite similar to this one. Recomendable sin.
Personal stats: Bottle from Systembolaget web order, Sweden.

Cloudy golden pour with swirls of suspended sediment throughout and a moderately big fluffy white head that leaves a ton of lace. Lemongrass and light grainy notes on the nose with some light spice notes that give a bit of a witbier impression. Creamy lemon on the palate with some graininess that’s a little off-putting, but the lemoniness slides into this spicy and slightly acidic feeling thing that’s interesting to me. I’d like a little more spice in the mouth and there’s something really strange about the mouthfeel that I can’t put a finger on. I don’t think I’d pay for another bottle but this beer is definitely worth trying.
