4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: OCT 26, 2012 Clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma was nicely packed with grassy hops, flowers and a few hints of german malt. Flavor had a lovely authentic german pilsener taste with german hops and a breadish taste. Grassy and crisp. Dry and bitter. Very authentic. Any ratings of this based on a less than a 50 cl wont do it justice. Masterpiece!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Kihoskh, Copenhagen (BB Aug 2014). Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow, unfiltered. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain/bread), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs), lightly yeasty (sourdough), with light notes of sulfur, melon rind, kumquat. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. It’s odd that Amager doesn’t advertise this as a Kellerbier, because that is precisely what this is...Franconian lager is something I’ve been particularly saturated in this year, having spent over a month across two separate trips in that region (including just two weeks ago), and visited a couple of times in previous years as well. And this smells *identical* to the unfiltered lagers of that area...if it were poured in a random village south of Bamberg I wouldn’t remark on it being unusual in any way from the next...and best of all, it’s an unflawed example (which *is* notable even for Franconia)...no DMS, diacetyl, etc. Really well done and authentic. If they were really going for a "straight up pilsner" well...they failed in that, I suppose, but they got lucky in making a nicely textured, balanced, and aromatic Kellerbier. Bravo!

Hazy gold beer with a decent white head. Palate is crisp and dry. Minerals. Dry malt. Peppery spice. Little citrus and dry seltzer. Dry finish. Dull and dry. Really wants something more to bring it alive. I want something more - is that greedy?

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Unclear golden body, white head. Malty aroma with piney hops and grass. Dry and crisp taste, malt and bittering hops, slightly fruity. Very clean taste, though a bit onedimensional. A pretty standard pilsner with a bit more hops added, like the label says.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap @ Borefts 2013. Light cloudy and golden in the glass with a small bright white small sidestickibg head. Smells of soft wet grains with a little bit of citrus and citrus peel. Ehm, not to amazing really. Soft and thin on the mouthfeel with a average carbonation level. Thin and watery flavors also. Again, it’s something grainy and wet that drags it a bit down. Walterd down citrus with a good not to greedy bitterness. All in all its not a bad beer at all, and I applaud the idea but I don’t really fancy this beer all that much. A bit dull. 27.09.2013

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
