3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
0.5l bottle. Nice label.. This is a cloudy amber-brown one, lots and lots of floaters swirling in the glass and it has a medium sized fading and slightly bubbly off-white top. The aroma is really sweet and a bit sticky. I get nuts, candied apples, Belgian candied sugar, ripe sweet berries and perhaps some traces of dark wood and sweet malts. Even if it’s really out there on the sweet side of the scale, I can most definitely get used to this aroma.. The taste is even sweeter than the aroma! Tons of dark sweet candied sugar and caramel, there is a large nutty present. The bitterness have probably vaporized through the car. Some sweet ripe strawberry-syrup also, and the whole thing finishes of with a lovely suiting warming little alco-burn. A lovely sipper. Could perhaps be better suited for a smaller bottle, cause it gets a bit much at the end of the bottle. 03.12.2012

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy red color with a small white head. Taste is of malt, camel and sugar. Very sweet and full bodied. Tastewise it reminds me a bit of Chimay Bleu, but it’s not nearly as good as that.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a dark amber colour with small head. Nose is all sweetness. Maple syrup, candy fruits, brown sugar and maybe some honey. Taste is much like aroma, possibly a little too sweet for me.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
50cl bottle thanks to onkelgobber. Pours cloudy amber with a slim head. The nose has ginger bread topped with treacle and liquorice - so sweet. The taste has more treacle fading into honey. There’s a toffee apple finish. The palate is full bodied with a big tangy texture and although it is a big sweet beer, it drinks very well. Overall, I like it and after all, it’s my favourite style.............at least for now!.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Poured a dark brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light dried fruit notes with some candy and light residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix between some candy and light dried fruit with some sweet fruity ester and some residual sugar notes. Body is a bit light for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed though fell a bit short of some of complexity associated with such a yeast strain.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
I don’t know, maybe it’s the anime on the label - she doesn’t scream lust, she doesn’t scream anything therefore I’m left thinking about her, all filled with ale and with cap yet to pop off, pffft it went as I rose the opener! Not much more than a purr from her as it descended into the chalice with lots of life, lots of evocation in her big and lasting white ’do’. Settling in there a seductive, shimmering mahogany; a tight bead her defence. First whiff, she has liquor on her - burnt wine, possibly dark rum even, well spiced and fruity. Second is spoils of toffee, Ovaltine, cocoa, sultanas and a hint of fresh baked cinnamon twilles, mmm, acitve! Soft, sultry mouthfeel, mouthfilling (ok, can’t make that femme!) and definitely an after dinner treat. Her aroma breaks hard onto the palate, plenty to be enjoyed and balanced as she wants it. Deeply vinous like an aged wine to sup and linger. Lots of burnt fruit, savoury fruit that fills and loves its spot. Chocolate silks the void, a light hint of oaken wood to tease. The alcohol is scarcely seen now as it slips passed the tonsils. Long, long linger of vinous dark fruits and smoky notes like a good night out. This label dragged me in, maybe it was just her. I wish to meet her again!! (50cL, BBE 04/14, Mane Liquor, Belmont)
