English: This strong Belgian ale is so rich, so sweet and so luscious, that we wouldn’t hesitate calling it pure lust in a bottle. During the making of this beer the general mood in the brewhouse turned somewhat sensual if not downright erotic! And everybody involved in the brewing spontaneously engaged in heavy cheek kissing. If it wasn’t for the unexpected ring of the doorbell things could have gone even further… This beer is so lustful that we cannot vouch for the consequences if you serve this to your girlfriend over a candlelight dinner. This may very well result in a lifelong payment of child support. We have brewed a beer with the most sensual of sugars we could find at our local grocery store. We were tempted to spice it up with well-renowned aphrodisiacs like Spanish fly or oysters, but frankly we didn’t see the need for it.
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

On tap at Amager event at Mikkeller Bangkok. Nice spiced aroma. Not too boozy like many Belgian strong ales. A little too sweet for my liking though.

Bottle. Hazy dark brown/copper colored pour, lightly spotty carbonation and an aroma of lightly spiced raisings & plums. Flavor is medium malt base, more plums, cherries and hints of rum and a nice lingering fruit aftertaste. Overall it was very good, although be sure to let this one warm up; otehrwise you’ll miss some of the best parts of the flavor profile. Also wish it was a little cheaper than the 500ml @ $10.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is murky medium to dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of raisin, date, marshmallow, cotton candy, alcohol, light note of clove. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Relatively straightforward and uninspired. Nose is pretty much all sugars, and there’s just barely enough bitterness to balance the finish. Syrupy too. At this point I can say that Greed is easily the best in this series, and of course it’s the lowest rated here, by a large margin. That’s RateBeer for you, though...bigger = better...subtlety, depth, elegance, integration, and finesse are virtually never rewarded. Sigh.

Bottle shared with alexsdad06. Poured hazy dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex dark sweet fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Solid complex sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a smooth complex beer

Makea tuoksu. Tumman ruskea, siirappinen väri. Alku- ja jälkimaku erittäin makea, siirappinen. Ei oikein osu omiin makunystyröihin.

500 ml bottle. Pours an opaque amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel malts, spicy notes, Belgian yeast, candi sugar, some bite to the finish. I wanted to like this more than I did partially because of the label, but also the pairing of the style and the name. In the end, it was a touch too sweet especially on the initial taste.

In short: a rich belgian ale.
Pours murky dark mahogany, with nice tan head. Long head retention, some lacing. Caramel, yeasty, liquorice, roasty, raisins aromas. Medium body, average carbonation, oily texture. Taste follows the nose, some caramel, toffee, liquorice flavours. Balanced and enjoyable.
