COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: We thought about this for a long time: what kinda beer would give us the utmost feeling of pride in The Sinner Series? Well, if you know Amager Bryghus you already know that Imperial Stouts have a special place in our hearts. So “Pride” simply had to be an Imperial Stout. What is special about this take on the style is that we boiled the h… out of it. Actually we boiled it for 6 hours, making for a richer and fuller version. We would never dare calling this the perfect Imperial Stout - that would be taking pride way too close to hubris! But we hope you enjoy it nonetheless. We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

Brewed from Pale Ale, Wheat, Crystal, Black, Chocolate malts and roasted barley, hopped with Zeus and fermented with an American yeast strain.

100ml, tap at Ølfestival København. Pitch black, patchy surface, good lacing. Earthy malts and vanilla sweetness to the nose. Oak vanilla and roasted malty taste profile, hints of dark chocolate. Heavy bittersweet ending. Creamy, strong and warming. Full bodied. Nice sipper (Copenhagen, 23.05.2013).

Bottle from Systembolaget enjoyed at home
Pours dark, black in glass, tanned head. Smells of roast, coffee, malts, some yeast. Medium sweet, liquorice, alot of coffee and roast. Smooth oily mouthfeel, cocoa too. Heavy bitter, earthy hops and coffee. Very nice, A good Imperial Stout

@ Havregatan. Lite spritig i smaken kanske.

Aroma of dark malts. Black in colour with a hint of red. Full and creamy body. A heavy imperial stout

Draught. Black colour. Small stable light brown head. The flavour has a good hop burn and a very roasted finish. A little sweet, but well balanced by the hops and some alcohol.

From a 500ml bottle on 23/5/2013 (batch number 511, BB 10/2017). pours close to black with a small to medium tan head. The aroma is surprisingly muted, with just a little dark fruit and chocolate evident. By contrast, the flavour is big and bold. There’s heaps of dark and milk chocolate, fudge, some dark fruit, and hints of coffee and licorice, Has a huge roasty, hoppy bitterness to nicely balance out the sweetness. The palate is slightly oily and the carbonation soft. An in your face, quality imperial.
