3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
0.5 bottle. Black in color with a latte-colored head of creamy consistency and good retention. Aroma is composed primarily of fruits, cocoa, and a bit of grapes. Sweet taste of dark malts, chocolate, and fruits of which some are a tad sour - seems simple enough but tastes amazingly. A full body, a thick texture, and an almost flat carbonation level. Finish is long, fruity, and refined; once again, it does not strike with too many flavors but those that do appear tend to amaze. With time a certain, hoppy bitterness arises. Overall, a very good beer, full recommendation on my part.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared during the 2013 Rainbow IPA event at the King William IV - London. Pours deep black with a foamy brown head. Well roasted malts in the nose, dark cocoa. Medium to heavy sweet flavor, lots of chocolate character, burnt earth. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, lots of roast, bittersweet baking cocoa. Very tasty.

Thick head stays with you for a while. Roasty, chocolaty aroma. First sip stops your lungs for a moment, it’s so full of flavours. Chocolate, coffee, dark malts on top. Alcohol on the edge of "too much" goes well with its full body. Oily on the tongue. Low carbonation. Bitter and dry aftertaste.
This is one great Imperial Stout.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Black with tan froth. Aroma is roasted, slightly earthy with ecident alcohol. Bittersweet flavour, lots of fruity licorice well balanced by warming alcohol. Nice.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Oh this stuff is so freakin good. Appropriate to Imperial Stout, Royally Tasty. Appearance has a thick long lasting light brown head. Aroma is black malt, black olives, licorice, leather. Flavor’s like nose, plus some sweet and bitter, those in perfectly balanced amounts. Body is so amazingly smooth. Only slight veiled hints of power. Wahoo!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours pitch black with a finger tan head. Typical imperial stout appearance. Quite a floral nose, more hops than I was expecting from this style. The mixture of hops and malts gives off an interesting bitter dark chocolate nose. First thing I notice is that the taste is bittersweet, the bitterness dominates the sweetness. A lot of wheat comes through to back up this bitterness. Not too sure if I if I like it or not, but its well executed. Tastes of a dark, strong espresso, chocolate and a sharp twang from the wheat. Finish is dry and very bitter. Soft carbonation. Overall, this is an interesting imperial stout, i like how the wheat and hops play together in the taste. But I dont know if i’d reach for another one again if we crossed paths, too much bitterness for my liking in this style. But a hop lovers dream in stout form.
