English: We thought about this for a long time: what kinda beer would give us the utmost feeling of pride in The Sinner Series? Well, if you know Amager Bryghus you already know that Imperial Stouts have a special place in our hearts. So “Pride” simply had to be an Imperial Stout. What is special about this take on the style is that we boiled the h… out of it. Actually we boiled it for 6 hours, making for a richer and fuller version. We would never dare calling this the perfect Imperial Stout - that would be taking pride way too close to hubris! But we hope you enjoy it nonetheless. We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

Brewed from Pale Ale, Wheat, Crystal, Black, Chocolate malts and roasted barley, hopped with Zeus and fermented with an American yeast strain.

(50 cl bottle from the brewery; Batch #511 BBD: october 2017) Pours pitch black with beautifully creamy, dark, toffee head. Beautiful lace and decent retention. Regenerates well. Aroma is medicinal, raisiny, dark malts with some herbal, hoppy notes and a hint of the wheaty acidity. Extremely creamy mouthfeel, full bodied, softly carbonated with a sweet, warming finish. Very pleasant but with more of an alcohol bite than I would have imagined. Girlfriend says: "It’s really good."

Very solid Imperial Stout. Very fullbodied with sugary notes, but also a backburner of hoppyness. Low carbonation.

Pitch black with a small brown head; aroma is gentle, roasted malt and some alcohol, cacao; taste is very sweet, roasted malt, dried dark fruits, cacao, chocolate, resinous and piney hoppy notes sticking out of the roasty and sugary background, medium bitterness; mouthfeel is thick sticky oily with low carbonation

Pours like motor oil and has a minimalist near black head. The nose is very understated with some coffee, malt and fruit. A complex, well blended taste profile featuring Coffee, a touch of citrus hops and some berries. Molasses, semi sweet chocolate and ripe dark berries add to the blend. A dense, sticky body. A slightly bitter aftertaste. A solid classic.

Bottle - 500ml. Pours an opaque, black body with a thin, lasting, brown foamy head. Robust malty aroma with whisky, oaky, and some roasty hints. Its complex malty/hoppy taste carries chocolate, plummy, roasty, vanilla, and whisky notes. Alcohol feel is moderate. Ends with a long, warming, bittersweet finish. Awesome 3800th rating!

¿110 IBUs? Permítanme descojonarme.

Lovely looking pour, with a creamy tan head. Rich and creamy stout, with plenty of milk choclate and dark bitter chocolate. Really good.

Average brownish head with good retention. Very dark brown, almost opaque. Aroma is ripe red fruits, alcohol and biter roasted malt. Taste is roasted red fruits (raspberry), burnt sugar, sweet bitter, bitter cocoa, acid. Creamy palate. Bitter acid aftertaste.
