COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: We’re hardworking people here at Amager Bryghus. Only once in a while are we lazy bastards. But it happens. We have to admit that we were lazy when we designed this beer. One malt, one hop – albeit a good one – and then our house yeast. Well, how hard can it possibly be to create a sessionable American Pale Ale? And that’s what we’re offering you here. Sometimes brewing is hard work. Sometimes it’s a work of art. And then sometimes it’s a walk in the park. Take a stroll, sit and relax on a park bench in the sun and be lazy with us. We promise you won’t regret it. We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…
Brewed simply from pilsener malt and Simcoe hops and fermented with an American yeast strain.

Pours golden orange with a rapidly dissipating white head. Great hoppy citrusy aromas. Some nice clean maltiness in the mouth, together with citrus and even some apple. Hoppy bitterness dominates on the end.

Shared bottle @ Cardinal. As this beer is brewer with just one malt and one hop type, this one is impressive. Some amonia in the aroma from the strong hops. Fruity taste and nice bitterness.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dirty beige color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of deep floral hops with nice green and herbal touch is really powerful and quite enticing. Taste is dominated by wonderful notes of herbal and dry hops notes with some light dry caramel malt to sustain the hops profile. Body is quite full with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. The hops punch is this one is quite exquisite with minimal bitterness and loads of floral notes approaching the Heady Topper level. Great stuff and hopefully not a one-off.

(Bottle) Slightly hazy golden yellow with good white head. Lovely aroma with pine, floral, citrus, resin and more. Medium bodied with good mouth filling carbonation. Tangy fruity start reminiscent of aroma and some subtle sweetness quickly gets overtaken by powerful hoppy bitterness which persists into a long bitter finish. A good APA but I am starting to get jaded by the OTT bitterness of the style.

Bottle. Pours a nice golden orange color with a white head. Aroma is nice and hoppy with notes of grapefruit, peach notes, some grassy notes and sweeter malt. The flavor follows the nose and is quite juicy, I get lots of grapefruit and peach notes, some sweeter orange and sweet malts. The body is lighter side of medium with a dry mouth feel. Overall a pretty tasty APA.
