COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: We’re hardworking people here at Amager Bryghus. Only once in a while are we lazy bastards. But it happens. We have to admit that we were lazy when we designed this beer. One malt, one hop – albeit a good one – and then our house yeast. Well, how hard can it possibly be to create a sessionable American Pale Ale? And that’s what we’re offering you here. Sometimes brewing is hard work. Sometimes it’s a work of art. And then sometimes it’s a walk in the park. Take a stroll, sit and relax on a park bench in the sun and be lazy with us. We promise you won’t regret it. We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…
Brewed simply from pilsener malt and Simcoe hops and fermented with an American yeast strain.

50 cl bottle purchased in de Molen bottle shop. Only pilsner malt and Simcoe hops but doesn’t taste one dimensional. Pours slightly cloudy, leans toward the more bitter side. Nice citrus hop flavor one would expect from Simcoe. Nice beer.

Bottle. Pours golden in color with a small head. Grass, green herbs and some forresty notes in aroma. Bitterness in taste, and yes some vegetables too. Meh. Later on more dry in taste, some herbalness and grassyness as well. Get’s a bit better towards the end. Bitter finish.

Kaatuu pikkutulppaaniin kullankeltaisena ja sameahkona, vaahto on noin 1-1,5 sormen paksuinen ja melko pysyvä. Hajusta työntyy jo kauas lasista hyvin vahva greippi ja veriappelsiini/verigreippi. Kunnolla tuoksuttelemalla löytyy lisäksi melko vahvaa puumaisuutta, mutta melko suoraviivaisesti mennään sitruksen puolella. Hieman makeaa karamellia tuntuu huljuttelemalla.

A hazy, light yellow with a hint of orange colour. A head is quite big, blond and slightly clouding. The nose is great and exotic, papaiyas are dominating, some grapefruits and mandarin, also a hint of prickly nuancees. Overally, the focus is in the exotic fruits. Taste is also exotic, balanced bitterness that is grapefruity with pine needles. The end is long and piney-resiny. Quite smooth and pleasant to drink with medium body. This is good beer, even the best freshness is decreasing after a while. Exotic fruit basket with enough of bitterness.

Bottle. Bit hazy golden colour with fast fading large white head. Sweet, hoppy, tropical aroma with grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruits and malt. Taste is grassy and soapy with grapefruit, citrus and pines. Medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation. Very long, dry, bitter, hoppy and grapefuity finish. Excellent fresh ipa-like apa.
