COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: We’re hardworking people here at Amager Bryghus. Only once in a while are we lazy bastards. But it happens. We have to admit that we were lazy when we designed this beer. One malt, one hop – albeit a good one – and then our house yeast. Well, how hard can it possibly be to create a sessionable American Pale Ale? And that’s what we’re offering you here. Sometimes brewing is hard work. Sometimes it’s a work of art. And then sometimes it’s a walk in the park. Take a stroll, sit and relax on a park bench in the sun and be lazy with us. We promise you won’t regret it. We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…
Brewed simply from pilsener malt and Simcoe hops and fermented with an American yeast strain.

Pours golden orange with a rapidly dissipating white head. Great hoppy citrusy aromas. Some nice clean maltiness in the mouth, together with citrus and even some apple. Hoppy bitterness dominates on the end.

Clear, copper beer with a foamy white/beige head. Very fruity and hoppy aroma. Medium body. Very grape fruity bitterness. It actually tastes like you are drinking a very bitter, non-sugared grape fruit juice almost. The bitterness grows as you drink it and the after taste remains for a long time. Carbonation is soft and I think the soft mouth feel suits this beer very well. The hops can be a little harsh for many so if you are looking for a strongly hopped beer this is it.

Bottled. Golden beer with lacy white head. Fresh, hoppy nose with grapefruit, dried peach and acidic berry aromas, some resiny notes. Dry and crisp, grainy maltiness, heavily bitter/resiny finis without significant fermentation aromas. Light body, refreshing carbonation. Very fresh, hoppy pale ale. If you like Simcoe, this is a brew on a hot summer day.

Bottle @ #h-J14, 20/06/14, thanks bluus. Pours a light orange with a decent, white head. Aroma is citrus, lemon is pretty strong. Some passionfruit/pink grapefruit in the background. Taste is dominated by the citrus and lemon with the pink grapefruit being again in the background. Lemon and lemon peel become very strong in the finish and aftertaste. Fairly light with fairly light carbonation.

Marstonlad (386) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 20, 2014
Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours cloudy golden with a towering, frothy head. The aroma is very hoppy; it contains plenty of pine and aromatic citrus fruitiness. Taste is medium bitter and fairly dry. Pilsner malts provide the backbone but do not really appear in the taste; it is all about hops. Grapefruit makes a late cameo in the dry finish. The palate is medium bodied and slick, the carbonation average to lively. This is indeed straightforward but not in any way flawed; nicely bitter and fresh summer ale.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - Batch 806 - BBE 05/2015, from Alko, 20140619) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized, dense, white and it lasted quite long. Aroma had pine, mango and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, mango, pine, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet. hoppy and bitter. A good balanced Pale Ale.

Bottle from State Line. Pours hazy dark straw with off-white head. Nose was caramel malt, dry florals, piney hops, mango. Tastes very hoppy, fruity, with mango, florals, resin, and a finishing bitterness with more florals. This one was complex and delicious.
