COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: We’re hardworking people here at Amager Bryghus. Only once in a while are we lazy bastards. But it happens. We have to admit that we were lazy when we designed this beer. One malt, one hop – albeit a good one – and then our house yeast. Well, how hard can it possibly be to create a sessionable American Pale Ale? And that’s what we’re offering you here. Sometimes brewing is hard work. Sometimes it’s a work of art. And then sometimes it’s a walk in the park. Take a stroll, sit and relax on a park bench in the sun and be lazy with us. We promise you won’t regret it. We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…
Brewed simply from pilsener malt and Simcoe hops and fermented with an American yeast strain.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2014 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Hazy yellow pour with a frothy white head leaving lovely lacing. Lots of citrus on the nose with a hint of resin. You can smell the bitterness that it is going to deliver. Has a very fresh feel to it. Almost minty fresh hops in the taste. Loads of citrus, pine and bitterness work their way over the tongue. The palate is consumed with a very clean and sessionable yet bitter pale ale. A pleasant surprise. Unbelievably good stuff. This would have to be one of my favourite beers purely for how good it does it’s job and how absolutely drinkable this is while still being packed with flavour

50cl bottle [from trade with Yespr] @ hotelroom, shared with 77ships. Slightly unclear yellow color, full sized rough white head that leaves a fair lacing. Lovely aroma of hops, resin, pine and spruce. Taste light to moderately malty, hops, very bitter, a lot of grapefruit and citrus. Lovely! Medium to full body and carbo.

So fresh and bitter. Pours hazy bright orange/yellow and lots of fruity aroma. Very nice body and balance from start to finish. Top score for this style of IPA.

Cuantas IPAs hay en el mercado que no tienen el caracter de esta Pale Ale. Aromática, sabrosa, fresca y cítrica con un excelente amargor final.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2012 (Re-rated on August 2nd; Blind sampling of five different, hoppy Amager beers; Batch 476; BBD: August 2013) Pours cloudy golden with medium white head. Aroma has notes of citrus, soap and grapefruit. Long, lingering bitterness. (Sample from tap at CBF) Pours a slightly hazy golden with medium, white head and good lace. Aroma is floral hoppy with notes of citrus. Oily texture, medium carbonation, light to medium body with a bitter finish. Taste is Moderately bitter with little sweetness. Nicely dry and crisp. Shows a lot can come from very little.

Tap at CBC. Pouring low haze golden with a thicker white head. Nose is ultra dank Simcoe hops with big mango, grapefruit, orange blossom, flowers. Taste is rich, mango, sappy, hop oil heavy. Aerated, hop oil resinous palate. Oh yeah! This one was a bombshell.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dirty beige color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of deep floral hops with nice green and herbal touch is really powerful and quite enticing. Taste is dominated by wonderful notes of herbal and dry hops notes with some light dry caramel malt to sustain the hops profile. Body is quite full with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. The hops punch is this one is quite exquisite with minimal bitterness and loads of floral notes approaching the Heady Topper level. Great stuff and hopefully not a one-off.
