Brewed by Amarcord Brewery in the small medieval town of Apecchio, Italy, AMA Bionda is a beer made specifically for the Italian dinner table. Designed by Brooklyn Brewmaster Garrett Oliver, AMA Bionda is a golden beer with a soft but complex floral and fruity character, born of aromatic malts, three types of hops, Italian Orange Blossom honey from Sicily, and water from springs that date to Roman times.

This is a beer that builds and builds. Off the jump it tastes like a really standard Belgian pale ale with an average hop profile but there is a palate coating feeling there that allows the honey, hibiscus, and rose hips to come through. Nice and complex when you pay attention. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours golden orange with white head, reduces quickly despite being extremely lively upon opening. Fruit, honey, caramel, floral and some funk on the nose. Belgian yeast is palpable. Pretty unchanged in the mouth, but some banana and bread present too. Medium sweetness and bitterness generally, with some spicy yeast in the aftertaste. Light-medium body but a clingy mouthfeel. Nice brew.

75cl bottle at restaurant. It pours clear golden with a lasting foamy white head. Aromas are yeasty, estery, bready, floral and honey. Flavors are bready, dry, biscuity, floral, honey, with a light peppery and orangey throughout. Medium to fuller carbonation. Very well done.

17/04 A 0.75 l bottle, courtesy of ogivlado, thanks for sharing! It poured hazy golden body with medium to big head. Fine herbal hoppy and vanilla malty aroma, also characterized by Belgian ale yeasty notes. Flavor was simpler than expected, yet quite nice, fine, bitterish, chalky, yeasty and fruity like peach or sweet cooked apple. Somehow watery on palate, giving a feeling of a thinner body, but still pleasant with, taking that into account, rather long finish that showed mostly the typical Belgian ale spices and other characteristics of the style - vanilla and some citrus. An enjoyable and very well made one!

Way better then my ratebeerians have rated. This has a distinct Belgian aroma with spice and fruit. The flavor follows with a nice balance. Crisp and clean. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
