Brewed by Amarcord Brewery in the small medieval town of Apecchio, Italy, AMA Bionda is a beer made specifically for the Italian dinner table. Designed by Brooklyn Brewmaster Garrett Oliver, AMA Bionda is a golden beer with a soft but complex floral and fruity character, born of aromatic malts, three types of hops, Italian Orange Blossom honey from Sicily, and water from springs that date to Roman times.

glennmastrange (2413) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JUL 13, 2014
Bottle. Heavy malt aromas of grain and cereal, moderate lemon and perfume for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with notes of white wine and alcohol. Head is large, frothy/fizzy, white with slippery lacing and good legs and is mostly lasting. Color is slightly hazy, yet sparkling light amber. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and faintly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a soft to lively carbonation. Though a little light in flavors this Belgian Ale is full of fresh fruity aromas.

Nice gold pour with a fleeting white head. Light sweetness in the nose with a bit of honeysuckle and white pepper. A touch sweet on the tongue with a little peppery hoppiness to balance. Finishes off dry with a little of that honey note. Light body with higher than average carbonation. Nice.
