Brewed by Amarcord Brewery in the small medieval town of Apecchio, Italy, AMA Bionda is a beer made specifically for the Italian dinner table. Designed by Brooklyn Brewmaster Garrett Oliver, AMA Bionda is a golden beer with a soft but complex floral and fruity character, born of aromatic malts, three types of hops, Italian Orange Blossom honey from Sicily, and water from springs that date to Roman times.

ASPETTO: biondo limpido con schiuma bianca, abbastanza fine e persistente. AROMA: buon aroma di floreale, fruttato, con delle inaspettate ma piacevolissimo note di tabacco. GUSTO: molto buona. Sentori fruttati predominanti insieme a del mieloso. Leggero agrumato.

A golden beer with high carbonation. Low head retention. Medium body. Spicy aroma, seems to be fermented with wit yeast. It has some honey residual sweetness. A good beer, next time will pair it with pizza, or something Italian. Simple but excellent.

Bottle back at the hotel at TAPNY courtesy of Matt. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Musk, wheat, phenols and lemon. Musky, sweet wheat. Lightly phenolic, lemon and musky sweetness. More phenols, light herbal and medicinal. Wheat, phenols and yeast.

Bottle at home, 05/05/13. Streaming gold with a fine slim collar. Juicy banana, clove and bubblegum esters on nose. Spritely juicy stuff with a perfumed banana, spice and hefeweizen thing happening. The Italians are devils at sneaking honey under the radar- it’s beautifully integrated here. Good brew.

This is a beer that builds and builds. Off the jump it tastes like a really standard Belgian pale ale with an average hop profile but there is a palate coating feeling there that allows the honey, hibiscus, and rose hips to come through. Nice and complex when you pay attention. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a 12oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a quickly dissipating white fluffy head. Smells very elegant, clean and lifted. Notes of sweet flowers, honey, and peppermint come through. One of the most clean and pleasant Bouquets I have ever experienced. Taste is very light and delicate. Notes of spice, honey, and cream. This quite carbonated, and tickles the tongues. The texture is very light, a leaves me desiring something a little stronger. This beer is so extremely light, that I would not enjoy it with food other than a salad with light or no dressing. I was eating salmon with rice and steamed veggies when I open up this bottle, and I had to rinse my mouth out and wait a while before I could actually taste this beer. It is so light light that it is easily over powered, and that’s where I have to take points away from this one. Otherwise, it is a beautiful beer.

75cl bottle at restaurant. It pours clear golden with a lasting foamy white head. Aromas are yeasty, estery, bready, floral and honey. Flavors are bready, dry, biscuity, floral, honey, with a light peppery and orangey throughout. Medium to fuller carbonation. Very well done.

750ml bottle at Brooklyn Brewery sampling at Blue Monk, Buffalo NY> Thanks Rich!! Paler yellow pour. Floral yeastiness fills the aroma with hints of lemon zest, light pot pourri & honey. Flavor was pleasant, non complex, floral. Easy drinking & very sessionable. Enjoyable beer
