3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a very dark copper that shows highlights when held up to the light. Very active head that disappears quickly and but doesn’t leave any lacing. Aroma is cherries, yeast and sugar. Taste was not as intense as the
aroma which was a little disappointing. The carbonation threw me off at the first sip. Not sure what to make of it. Very dry finish. Interesting beer. Might have to revisit it to get a better grasp if it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 75cl. A big, off-white head forms over an almost clear, dark amber-brown body. Some curtains. Raisins, prunes, some caramel and yeast in the aroma. Hints of yeast and some baked apples. It’s medium bodied, quite dry and with a pleasant carbonation. Toffee, some chocolate, baked apples, dried dark fruits and some bitterness in the flavor. Lasting finish. Quite nice this one, but a bit thin and dry I think. 150718

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours attractive deep amber-red with foamy tan head that quickly reduces but leaves long-lasting skim.
Aroma is malt, spiced pear, brown sugar. Taste is softly caramel, figs and the occasional mild hit of spice. There’s a bit of heat from the alcohol, but in general it is unassertive, very light and drinkable for 7.5 ABV. Finish is nicely dry.
This fills the bill for a drinkable, supportive table wine, able to complement food or stand on its own as needed.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tried bottled. Bought in Austria. Colour is dark brown/amber. Poor retention of small weight head. Aroma is malts, pear, slight chocolate and caramel. Taste is sweet, initially pear, caramel and a slight metallic after note with a earthy hoppy finish. Mouthfeel is like champagne with the same dry finish. Nice beer in a nice bottle.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells like firewood and pears. Tastes somewhat similar, with added notes of dried fruit, a hint of red wine, and something else I can’t quite place. I like it.
