COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed by Amarcord Brewery in the small medieval town of Apecchio, Italy, AMA Bruna is a beer made specifically for the Italian dinner table. Designed by Brooklyn Brewmaster Garrett Oliver, Ama Bruna is refermented in the bottle with brown candy sugar(7,5% ABV). Complex, but soft on the palate, the malt flavors are pronounced but subtle, with flavors of toffee, a touch of chocolate, pear and cinnamon as a result of the caramelized sugar.

Pours a very dark copper that shows highlights when held up to the light. Very active head that disappears quickly and but doesn’t leave any lacing. Aroma is cherries, yeast and sugar. Taste was not as intense as the aroma which was a little disappointing. The carbonation threw me off at the first sip. Not sure what to make of it. Very dry finish. Interesting beer. Might have to revisit it to get a better grasp if it.

Couleur brun foncé; fine mousse beige; arômes et goût malté, caramel, fruité; un peu trop liqureux; légère amertume, mais finale trop sucrée

Bottle from Seiyu. Dark copper with a decent head. Malts, caramel and soft fruit aroma. Flavour has fresh pear with a balanced malt finish.

Smells like firewood and pears. Tastes somewhat similar, with added notes of dried fruit, a hint of red wine, and something else I can’t quite place. I like it.

Pours copper brown, slightly hazy, nice beige foam. Aroma has prunes, toffee, sweet dark marmelade. Taste has dried dark fruits, hint of hops, medium body. Not too much going on here but nit bad and aftertaste lingers for a while. Wigs and some herb tea.

Again, thanks to Mas Plenum people for cracking this one open! At Vinocom. Poured a brown-amber body with a small, thick beige head. Sweet malty aroma, apfelstrudel, pleasant fruity notes. Sweet, creamy taste, that what was in the aroma makes a repeat performance too. Mild for the ABV in a way and very drinkable.

Bottle 750 ml in Zagreb. Pours dark amber with large off-white head. Malty caramel aroma. Sweet fruity, caramel, toast, bit spicy. Quite drinkable considering alcohol and style. Not my favorite style but pretty good.

Bottle from Seiyu for 400 or so yen. Served in a pint glass. It pours a dark reddish brown. With a thick off-white head that lingers. The aroma is a solid fruity malt aroma. Medium to full bodied within a zesty mouthfeel. The taste is a candyish sweetness with sweet citrusy hop notes that has a thick malty caramel backbone. Perfectly balanced between citrus & malts - very tasty. Simple but sweetly good.

Small bottle in to proper glass at Samo Pivo, Belgrade. Sweet, candi sugar, molasses, banana. Sweet red fruit, balanced malts. Solid, good doppio malto and deep red-copper, solid off-white head.
