We chose to call our beer Gradisca, because we brew it in this corner of Romagna and San Marino, between the sea and the mountains, a land rich in history and amazing stories. But above all, as a tribute to an illustrious celebrity who was born here, film director Frederico Fellini, who conquered cinema-goers the whole world over with his rich and poetic vein of inspiration, winning as many as four Oscars for his films, including, of course, Amarcord, where Gradisca is the protagonist. Elusive and unattainable, but the object of everyone’s desire. Her sheer grace and elegance are a perfect match for the delicate color of a beer to suit any occasion. This special lager beer has a bright color and forms a light, compact head. The flavor is full and rounded, with a pleasant taste of hops and a delicate scent of flowers. It presents to the palate with a pleasantly fruity aroma accompanied by a refreshing aftertaste of hops that makes it particularly refreshing.

Suggested pairings:
Excellent as an aperitif or with fresh and light dishes such as pizza, vegetables, white meats, sautéed vegetables and savoury pies.

Note: Uses the name Gradisca on the local market, and Prima Donna for export.
Known for being 4.7% ABV in the past, now at 5.2% ABV.

A nite hidden in the smell, but then it hits the nice real hoppiness. Long aftertaste. A crossing between pils and IPA I would say. A hazy appearance.

0,50 bottle courtesy of Andrea, consumed in Kosovo. Grazie Andrea. Pours a mostly filtered pale golden color, small white head which dissipates quite fast. Nose: malty notes, burnt plastic background, corn. Mouth: a bit too sweet, thin. Mmmmm :-I

Pale golden, white head, honey notes, malt and industrial hops. Blah-blah more of the same palelageriness.

330ml bottle - thanks Suurjuust!
Sweet pale lager. Starchy aroma. Starchy taste too. Null beer, no reason to exist.

Bottle. Golden, poor white head. Aroma cereals. Taste a bit hoppy bitterness and aftertaste of yeast. Well balanced, a bit boring. I will not drink it another time.

Bottle with swingtop 1 ltr: Clear golden colored brew with an smoothly very light sweet bitter taste. Works well on hot summer day, but now its november and i have turn up the heather for some summer-like heat.

From bottle, poured into a plastic cup. (blasphemy!) Short, creamy head, light amber colouring, weak aroma. Ordinary pilsner with a light bitter aftertaste. Good summer drink.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2014 750ml bottle served in a tulip glass. A: Pours a dark yellow and bit cloudy color forming a big bubbled soapy heaf. Good retention and lots of small spotty lacings left in the glass S: Sweet grains with a nice kick of honey. Flowery hops and bready Lager yeasts T: Slightly sweet upfront. Strong sweet grains, honey, flowery hops. End is quite biscuity and bready with some light hoppy bitterness in the end M: Medium body and good carbonation. Bready and malty aftertaste O: Good drinkability. Quite honest Euro Lager, which is quite hard to find. My third Amarcord, a quite decent Italian small brewery [ BA Review @ 4/1/2013 ]
