Bottle at La Spiga in Seattle. Pours a ruby-orange with a smallish head. Malt-forward for what was billed as a strong pale ale -- hops really take a backseat in here. A bit tinny, with some ripe fruit and a slight nuttiness -- this is like someone took a halfway decent doppelbock or scotch ale and blended it with a Coors Light. It makes you teeter between intrigue and dismissal. Not a fan.

Bottle 0.5 L Deep amber body with a medium, frothy, off-white head, mostly lasting with some lacing; high density of tiny particles. Moderate sweet malty aroma (caramel, some toasted hints) with notes of dark fruits and spices. Moderate sweet flavour at the beginning with a moderate-to-heavy bitter character coming out in a while; long-lasting bitter finish. Light-to-medium body with a watery texture; soft carbonation; some alcoholic feeling in the finish.

Orange brown coloured beer. Good sized head, looks good, but should hold a bit longer. Abit weird fruity, very sweet smell. At the taste mostly raisins and other dark overripe fruits, together with malts, hops and spices. Mouthfeel is ok, an after the first smell I expected the taste less good.

Bottle. Red amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, alcohol, caramel, malt. Flavour is sweet, malt, fruit, alcohol, caramel, hop, dried fruits. Full body. OK/Nice beer.

Swingtop bottle from Tacoma Boys. Hazy light orange-brown pour with a short, off-white head leaving moderate lace. Malty nose with a touch of banana.Medium body and light carbonation. Bubblegum,ripe fruit, caramel, candi sugar and a bit of citrus hops. Somehow there are some lager-like flavors here and the beer shares more with Moretti Rossa than it does with the better ESAs.

500ml swingtop bottle pours a pale amber color with a finger and a half of white head which leaves some really nice lacing. Aroma is light fruit and hops. Taste is light malty sweetness with some fruity esters and a light hop bitterness. A nice easy drinking pale ale.

Pours a clear and dark golden beer with an offwhite head.. The aroma is malt, caramel and alcohol. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness. Overall an average beer.
