Creamy and adherent foam. Long persistence. Shining yellow color, lightly loaded. Much bubbly and long-lasting. Optimal aspect. Intense and pleasant scent. Herbaceous and wine cellar notes. Light and pungent taste. Mildew and malt rumor. Much similar to the De Dolle Lichtervelds Blond even if much less strongly and decided.

Nice, my first San Marino beer. Not many can claim that they have actually drunk one, eh ? Anyway, not what I expected of a Belgian ale, mostly due to the lack of anything resembling spices, but it’s pretty good anyway. Looks nice, pours a huge, rapidly vanishing white head that leaves some small lacing, and looks quite nice, orange, with lively carbonation. Malty aroma. Pleasant malty flavor, some lemon maybe, and, well, hearty, and leaves a roasty aftertaste. Tastes like what I imagine a bock would taste (believe it or not, I have never actually tried a bock, three doppelbocks, but no bocks, strange isn’t it). Overall, quite a pleasant beverage, which proves that it’s the brewer, not the country it’s from that counts. Just noticed the label. Well, hide this bottle from your children, it’s probably not what you would want them to see.

Golden color; creamy head; lace. Malt aroma, with some nice hop; lighter but similar to a good Pilsner. Ordinary taste, average maltiness and good body structure; some dry unmalted grains feeling. Light hop aroma; strong bitterness, long final. Quite good and pleasant.

Sparkling amber; spicy, yeasty aroma with some alcohol noted. Malt-accented palate, with subtle higher alcohols. A little wet in the finish. Notes of pepper, cumin seed. Warming.
