Birra d’autore prodotta con malti pregiati. Dietro ai riflessi ambrati si nascondono presenze di luppolo e lieviti speciali.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear deep amber orange color with thin creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, yeast, candy sugar, bread and alcohol. Taste starts by moderate sweet caramel with mild honey note, follows by dried fruits and yeasty acidity with warming alcoholic mouthfeel and very mild bitter finish. Medium body, sticky texture and soft carbonation in palate. Another nice brew from the Amarcord movie stars collection...

This is the best Italian Beer I have tasted to date- Small craft- Great flavor at 55°- Still palatable when cold but the aromas and flavors shine between 50-55°.

330 ml bottle. Best before date 171012! Pours a dark amber with very light head. Aromas of applesauce and biscuit. Flavors of trail mix and biscuity malts. Malt bomb.

Bottle. Dark amber, white head that fades fast. Aroma to caramel, bread nuts. Taste candy, brown sugar and odd very short bitterness. Medium-full body.

Bottle @ home. Ambrata, limpida, schiuma beige fine mediamente persistente.

A peine trop sucrée à mon goût.

500ml bottle from a licor store in San Marino. Clear dark amber colour, medium frothy off-white head, fair lacing. Heavily malty aroma of bisquit, caramel, nuts and plum with moderate floral and earthy hops and some alcohol. Taste is initially moderately sweet and slightly acidic, turning into a bittersweet finish with a moderately alcoholic feel. Full body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. A surprisingly easy to like beer of this strength as many Belgian ales often are, one of the better Italian beers I’ve had.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2014 750ml bottle poured in a mug. A: Pours a golden orange clear color. Forms a small white to beige bubbled head. Characteristic strong ale low carbonation appearance with practically no lacings left S: Smell is sweet and fruity. Caramel malts dominate. Yeasts. Honey. Candy. Bit citrus hops in the end. A Doppelbock with hints of a Belgian ale T: Sweet upfront. Caramel. Caramel malts, honey, yeasts, flowery hops. Mild bitter aftertaste M: Medium creamy and bit molasses body. Low carbonation. Sweet upfront and mild citrus and bitter aftertaste. Detail: It’s a 9% ABV, not 10% as described above O: Good drinkability. Good beer. Amarcord is a honorable tribute to master Fellini ;) [ BA Review @ 1/3/2012 ]

Amber, small head. Some sweetness and caramelly in the aroma. Also in the taste caramel, sweetness. Smooth, some alcohol shows up. Nice but the alcohol shows up too much towards the finish.
