COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
La Volpina: nel suo splendido colore si scorgono i riflessi del rubino. E’ ricca di profumi e di spezie per una sensazione calda che avvolge il palato e lo conquista con un finale rotondo e persistente.

A little skrarp Italian attempts english strong ale with a fine foam. Pleasant malty flavor.

Shared a 50cl bottle. Pours a dark amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma is bread, citrus and toffee. Soft carbonation and medium body. Taste is slightly more bitter than sweet. Overall, a beer a bit boring and with not much of a personality, but quite drinkable.

Swing top bott;e, 500 ml, bought in Italy. Poured into a snifter. ABV 6.5% Caramel red to orange colour on the body, clear, with a big enough head on top, a bit taller than one finger actually. off-white in colour, with good enough retention.Very little lacing left on the glass. Interesting aroma, fruity, some dark ripe fruits in here along with grapes. Smells quite a bit like a sweet red wine and to that contribute the light caramel notes and the very obvious alcohol smell. Tastes quite good as well. Again, it has a wine-y flavour, a combination of sweetness and sourness for just a moment, with the caramel being more notable now. Finishes with a touch of dark fruits at the end and a hint of bitterness with average duration. Medium thin on the body, nice carbonation with a bite. Fairly dry on the palate. Overall this was a great beer and as far as I’m concerned, the best I’ve had till now from Italy and my recent passage there.

Quite nice; labeled as a pale ale, but seems more amber or even nut brown to me. Brown color. Equal parts deeply flavorful malt and spiciness in taste. Some bready and toffee notes as well. Solid B! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
