COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ámbar is the first dark lager beer ever produced in the Dominican Republic. It’s made from feature-defining low temperature active yeast and spicy malt. It’s a product with an aroma, taste and color different from blonde beers that was introduced to expand our product portfolio. Ámbar’s introduction is the result of more than 40 trials and different research processes ranging from an exhaustive market analysis to the development of new formulas in order to achieve an appropriate combination of image and prestige.

12oz bottle-pours a light tan head and amber color with red tint. Aroma is somewhat sweet medium malt-kind of peat. Taste is somewhat sweet medium malt-kind of peat/caramel/cocoa/nutty, faint earthy/slightly metallic hops. Thanks EdNotch for bringing this back.

Aroma: hints of crystal malt with a trace of hop. Appearance: amber clear etc. Flavour: some lightly melon notes with lots of crystal malt. Ver drinkable. Palate: thin with a medium level of carbonation.

Pour le mieux que je m’en souvienne, cette biere m’as laissé un gout amer dans la bouche (dans tout les sens du terme). Une bière dominicaine qui n’arrive probablement pas à la hauteur de ses auteurs.

Bottle. Thanks to argo0 for this! Pours a nice copper. Small tan head. Nose is malty and sweet with light caramel notes. Not at all bad! Taste is caramel and light bitterness with creamy malts and faint nuttiness. Body has an overcarbonated feel to it with light bitterness. Finish is more caramel and sweet malts with cocoa notes and light hops. Pretty good beer and a nice way to pick up another country!
