The colour is all in it’s name. This beer was first brewed in 1900, and gives a very fine flavour from start to finish. A very respectable premium lager which keeps a fine beaded head.

Bottle in a bar in the old part of town in Bilbao, Basque Country, Northern Spain 06.07.11. Pours warm gold with a white head. This is sweet, malty and without a great deal else to discuss, bitterness just coming through. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Nice little 25 cl bottle at midsummer.
Golden colour with a light carbonation giving small individual bubbles rising in the glass. Small white head. Aroma is typical macro malty with a touch of hay and vegetables. Quite plain macro malt flavor with some sweetness.

Bottle. Pale golden. Small white head. Aroma and flavor got some corn, some hay and a slight feel from malt. Not that bitter and hopy at all.

clear yellow, smooth thick white head.
bittersweet macroish aroma, dry.
flavor is quite sweet, as if they had used maize, somewhat malty, bitter balance with a little bit of fruitiness. More flavor than i had expected, one of the more flavorfull spanish macro’s. However it is also slightly sweet and flowery, which doesn’t work very well.

Bottled.
Clear pale golden colour with low white head. Sewer and maize dominate the aroma. Watery and lifeless body with no maltiness. Metallic and thin. Honey pastilles. Suggestions of butterscotch. No bitterness. Not really the big off-flavours but still not good.

0.33L bottle from El Corte Inglés, Lisboa. A finger of white foam, upon a plain pilsner golden body. Fairly dry, or not too sweet, light grainy malt aroma. Fruit-scented with a hint of grassy, vegetal hops. Sweetness is more prononced in the flavor, deep sugary malts. Notes of vegs. Sparse bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, light to medium full. Harsh malt finish. Smells ok, taste is too far on the sweet side.
