Fosca amb notes de regalesia. No sé perqué però sembla feta a partir de xarop. Gens recomenable.

Bottle. Dark brown to black with a red hue, low brown cream. Roasted sugar nose. Thin body, low carbonation, molasses flavour, subtle hop balance. Fresh, not cloying, quick forgettable finish.

Bottle from El Corte Ingles, Bilbao. Had this at Mundaka campsite, Basque Country, Northern Spain sat outside Frank (camper) 06.07.11 Pours black with next to no head. Nice dark malt and muscovado sugars, touch sweet maybe but pleasant. Touch of black treacle, served a bit too cold by me but getting better as it warms. Good stuff. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

Yes, there is smoke, toast, etc., but the quantities are limited, the body thin and overly fizzy. There is nothing to carry these flavours to their proper place on the palate.

Bottled 330ml (PBF, BB 09/2011)
Dark brown color, small beige head. Licorice, Worchester sauce in the nose. Medium-bodied. Dark malts, grassy hoppyness, caramel, licorice, soya sauce in the flavor. A bit like drinking "alcoholic malta" :)

An almost black beer, just as much alcohol (4,8%) it needs. Chocolate and coffe in the flavour. Forgot: a very nice, foamy head.
