Malty, toasty taste with canned fruit, toast and biscuity malt. Rather light body with balanced sweetness and a mild bitterness. Hardly exciting, but definitely drinkable.

Cask handpull at The Talbot Taphouse (the Amber tap), Ripley, Derbyshire, 30/04/11. Brassy amber with good lacing condition and some aroma to it- at last a venue north of Nuneaton not sparklering their beer into nothingness..Thistle and orange peel on the nose. Gentle wash of tangy orange, floury vanilla, Rich Tea linger. Clean and balanced, some digestives dunked in seawater. Good.

Cask at the pub of the same name i.e The Barnes Wallis, Ripley, Derbyshire, 08-07-10 Really soapy hops in the mouth, bit too soapy for me.
