Strong dark beer of the porter famili, characterised by a full taste and rich aroma. Perfect with gourmet desserts, and especially dark chocolate. 18.1 P

Bottle, sampled at House of Brewers, Brussels, thanks to Bractwo Piwne. Almost black in colour, with tint of red. Not an awful lot in aroma but there is a bit coffee and traces of black malts. Flavour is a bit different from the Baltic Porters I’ve had, especially the Polish ones, this seems to have had a higher fermentation rate than the average. It is fairly dry, with lots of black malt giving it a hard, toasty flavour profile, with not so much sweetness. I did not sense much residual sugars at least. So, all in all a bit different Polish Porter.

Bottle. Clear red brown coloured with a small off white head. Sweet and roasted aroma of rye bread and dreid fruits. Sweet and roasted flavour of dried fruits, caramel and rye bread with notes of alcohol. Roasted finish. Quite nice for a polish beer.

Bottle. Pours black with nice tan head. Super sweet aromas of caramel & toffee. Also a little alcohol. Flavours are very sweet once again with heaps of caramel, toffee and treacle. Some alcohol to the finish. Mouthfeel is very syrupy,

Bottled 500ml. -as Grand Imperial Porter. Dark brown (almost black) coloured, medium sized pale brown head, vinous buttery chocolate nose. Roasted malt, dried fruits and licorice with notes of chocolate and toffee. Also some notes of overriped plums. Touch of smoke in the finish. Ok porter but Zywiec is still my number one.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours dark brown/black, but it has ruby notes when viewed against light. Three-finger foamy tan head. Aroma of really darkly roasted malt with perhaps anise and/or chocolate. The nose is a little complicated. Medium plus body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is smooth dark roasted malt. It is sweet. Nutty. Dark fruit. Cough syrup. Chocolate and dates or figs. Lots going on. Finishes dark, rather syrupy and sweet. Nice winter drink.

Had a bottle of this last night. Colour... garnet-brown with a thick head. Nose... funky and rather musty! Palate... smooth, creamy, more like a bock than what I think of when I think of a porter! Caramel, butter toffee, sweetly malty, nice stuff but not an imperial porter!

Flaske 0,5 l fra bestillingsutvalget til Vinmonopolet. Dyp dyp rřdbrun. Nesten svart. Et lavt lysebrunt skum. Innbydende sjokoladepreget aroma. Smaken er svakt sřtlig med innslag av sjokolade. Kaffesmaken dominerer etterhvert sammen med en anelse bitterhet. Velbalansert. KI=6
