Looks good, great head formation and retention, nice and slippery, medium body, very dark, great contrasting head. Smell has raisin and roastiness, sweetness in the smell never gets out of control. Iron and earthy molasses in there. The flavor, though, still is a touch too sweet for my liking - it may be perfectly tradition (and I’d say it is close!) but it doesn’t develop the naturalness that is in the aroma very well, instead veering towards a one-dimensional wet fermented raisin, fruitcake and cinnamon bread quality, with a touch too much alcohol. Bummer, too, as this is clearly a good beer. One of the best in Poland? Not so sure...

Yep, that’s it based on the bottle. 50cl in Krakow. Pretty nice. Almost sticky sweet but you could still tell the design/desire was a Baltic Porter.

Light roasted aroma, nice brownish head. Roasted taste of liquorice and roasted malts. Alc is easily disguised.

Dark brown pour dense tan head good lacing. I aware I smell honey in this along with a touch of lactose sugar over candied chocolate lots of sweet. Avg pal. Very sweet flavor lactose milk chocolate a hint of honey. Good beer poor fit to style quite sweet.

Fucken love me some baltic porters. Pours a thinish looking dark brown with a tan head. Strong aromas of dark fruit, cocoa powder, ashtrays. Taste is dark fruit, cigarette butts, sweet tobacco. finishes pretty chalky and dry. Not bad at all.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2014 500ml bottle (Małe Piwo, Warsaw) - Shared with SRPOL - thanks! (6:5:6:4:13=3.4)
Soft sweet dark roast aroma. This is so much like Saku Porter from the olden days it’s not true. Absolutely classic Baltic porter. Lovely full roast, a bit sweet, and smooth in the palate. Not quite as much character as the previous two (Komes and Kormoran), but still great - really looks the part in particular.
Rerate: 500ml bottle (?, Poland) (6:5:6+:4:14=3.5+)
Sweet and rich, smooth, and full. Nice roast. Again, does remind me of the old Saku Porters. Dear Carlsberg, please drink one of these, and then get whichever facility brews your now-pathetic porter to do something like this. Maybe a bit too sweet, but truly a delicious baltic porter, great for the end of an evening or session.

50 cl. bottle at Sketch, Warsaw. Black with a reddish hue and a dense tan head. Roasted aroma with caramel malts, milk chocolate, mild coffee and licorice. An alcoholic note. Taste is sweet and roasted. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes sweet with roasted malts, caramel chocolate and light alcohol. Lovely Baltic Porter.

Poured from bottle to glass. Jet black with an off-white head that dissipated quickly to a thin ring arond the glass. Aroma is huge malts, roasty, sweet, nutty, bready, stone fruits, raisins, cola, yeast esthers. Full body and light carbonation provides for a great mouthfeel. Very sweet with a faint CO2 sharpness and an esthery finish with faint hop elements and slight ethanol. Overall, this is a really good super malt-forward imperial porter but almost bordering cloyingly sweet.
