Strong dark beer of the porter famili, characterised by a full taste and rich aroma. Perfect with gourmet desserts, and especially dark chocolate. 18.1 P

Recenzja 10 lipca 2011 Zdecydowanie bardziej aromatyczny od innych polskich porterów. Mocno czekoladowy.

500ml bottle. Poured black with some flashes of ruby red and a dense beige head. Smells like toffee and fruity, molasses. Luscious mouth feel without being too full. Tastes very sweet and fruity. Smooth and easy drinking. Delicious.

Aroma: some chocolate, some coffe, come roasted bread. Not strong. Something’s wrong. Black or almost black. Minimal brown head. Taste: Well. this is something. Chocolate, some coffe, roasted bread. As for Baltic porter good sweetnes, medium bitternes. This is how Baltic porter taste. Full body, nice finish. Great beer, nr 2 on my list of polish baltic porters. It deserves higher rating, but aroma is just not that good... :( Although I prefer it more than Komes Porter and way more than Żywiec porter. Really impressive as for 18 P, some 21 are not quite as good and intensive.

Baltic porter. New experience. 50cl bottle, 8% ABV, Deep brown, two finger head in the glass, dying down fast. Aroma and taste is cherry, dark fruits, alcohol, dark chocolate and a hint of cocoa. Full body, soft carbonation, long finish, not very bitter, but quite sweet. "Piwem Roku 2010" and "best before october 23. 2015" on the label. Does that mean it’s brewed in 2010 and stored for nearly 5 years? Bottle itself is a collector’s item, happy to have this one on my display shelf.

Bold Baltic porter. Nice roastiness, moderate to light maltiness, but very saturated, caramel, dried fruits, bread, coffee, dark choco. Moderate sweetness with bittersweet malty finish. Price/performance - excellent. Very drinkable and enjoyable brew

Barwa czarna, piana beżowa, drobne pęcherzyki, szybko się rozrywa. W aromacie nuty palone, karmelowe, kawowe, śliwkowe. W smaku wyraźna słodowość ale nie za słodkie. Goryczka na finiszu dobrze balansuje piwo. Głębokie w smaku. Pijalne i nie męczące.

Deep black, big tan head. Chocolate and coffee in the aroma with some sour undertones, semi-sweet chocolate, coffee and a lovely malt backbone. Quite good.

Bottle. This is the second Polish beer I’ve rated, and one of the few I’ve ever drunk before. As such, this is pretty exotic! :-) It pours a near-black body with a reddish hue, covered by a quickly dissipating light caramel head. The nose gives me manure (first time ever, but in a pleasant way), roasted malts and hints of peanut and cocoa butter. And something else, something I haven’t had in a long time now...what is it...damn, I know this...help me out here, brain - think, think... Ah! I got it! Miso! It smells of the Japanese fermented soy paste "miso"! Amazing. How did they do that? This is like a discovery journey into another beer continent. And then, the first sip: mmmm...salty licorice, sweet dark malts and a mild hint of soil. Some miso in there, as well. This is the most interesting beer I’ve had in a while. Rather drinkable too, not much booze coming out of the 8 % ABV and the palate is light and simple. What a pleasant surprise, this is one highly recommended brew; particularly if you are a fan of Baltic Porters. Big ups to Poland, which I will be on the lookout for in the future.

Grand Imperial Porter Pours deep brown with a slight reddish tinge. Thick creamy tan head with medium retention and light lacing. Rich aroma of raisins, brown sugar and sweet malt. Dark chocolate undertones. Really flippin’ good smell. Flavor is a slightly subdued version of the aroma, but well balanced, with chocolate covered espresso beans as the best definer. Sweet malt, and a mild hop character round out the finish. Nice beer and will buy again.
