Tap (Euston Tap, RBESG2011 Saturday)
Pleasantly hoppy aroma. Not so exciting, but at least it’s fresh, unlike others that we had from the same visit. Pale, loose head. Not bad, but a bit dull.

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear, rich yellow with a tight, white foam head. Aroma has a bit of toasty dough and mild citrus. Medium sweet flavor, bready with a sprinkling of white sugar and mild grass. Medium in body with fine carbonation. In good condition. Mild sweet finish, a bit more doughy malts, hints of spice and grass, some lingering bitterness. Solid beer overall.

Cask at Merton Summer Beer and Cider Festival 18-07-09 Pours amber in colour as I recall, I took no notes of the appearance, but I recall there was a slight haze. This is spicy, earthy and hoppy with a good malty depth to it, tasted really decent and quite distinct and different from the other IPA’s on offer, that said there were plenty of hops in there. I’m not convinced that it’s an IPA but to be fair was a tad unsure of where to place it. A7 A4 F8 P4 Ov15 3.8
