Cask at the Euston Tap, London, as the Roy’Ale. Pours a light, hazy gold with a foam head. Weak aroma, subtle malts and zesty citrus. Light sweet flavor, dry bitters, some rindy citrus. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry hop finish, some sweet orangey citrus, hints of honey. Not bad.

Cask handpull at The Talbot Taphouse (the Amber tap), Ripley, Derbyshire, 30/04/11. Mercifully, the only Wills and Kate-themed beer to have crossed my path- there are certain benefits to having worked the Friday, Sunday and Monday of the so-called ’double bank holiday weekend’. Murky orange with a halo of spittle. Peppered strawberry and apricot aroma. Bit muddy with red apple peel, dried apricot, earthy yeast. Passed me by- just like the wedding. 736313
