2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Weak malty aroma. Medium head but quickly disappearing. Clear golden body. Sweet malty taste with too little bitterness to contrast sweetness.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
500 ml bottle from supermarket in Olsztyn. Darkish gold colour, medium white head, some caramel and hay on the nose, medium body, some alcohol and more hay with not much hops in the mouth, short not very bitter and somewhat boozy finish. Not very balanced nor interesting.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A deep golden colour with minimilistic head and only a faint malty aroma. Slightly sweet and rather bland. Very much like the "Amber Zywe" from the same brewery and tasted yesterday. Enjoyed with my end of summer discovery namely a lump of crusty brown bread rubbed with garlic and napped with tomato and Gruyere cheese.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Straight no pour. The aroma is light with grain and some grass. The taste is light bitter, grass, straw. Decent euro lager.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. A clear, golden beer topped by a minimal sized white head. The aroma is grassy and lightly hayish, with dusty malts and some sweetish malts. A tad :) sweetish on the palate, but there’s a pleasant bitterness and hoppy flavors blending in. Medium body, soft carbonation. Sure not a world class beer, it’s too sweet, but drinkable anyway. 130720

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
500ml bottle as "Johannes Lager" on the label. A dark golden beer with a thin but stable white head. Nose is sweet honey grains and very subtle hops. Taste is really much too sickly sweet for my palate even allowing for this style. Negligible hop bitterness. Very light bodied and thin textured for the ABV. Wouldn’t pick this one again.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Biscuity, candy-like malty sweetness in abundance, garnished with some soapy notes. Clean, malty flavour with lots of residual sugars, with a light astringency instead of a proper bitterness in the finish. Given that this is a strong lager, it could be worse.
