Very sweet beer. But in bock style, bread, sweet flavours of malt should dominate. I like this beer but, hops aroma is very light. Too light.

Bottle at Zuraw Caffe Restaurant, Gdansk water front. Pours an amber brown colour, with what little off what head there was, quickly dissipating to nothing. Lovely aroma of caramel, malt, dark fruit, dates and banana. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Quite high carbonation level, medium body, texture oily.

Smak: słodko karmelowo, lekka goryczka, nawet niezły balans, wysycenie średnie do niskiego , o ile w aromacie alk wyczuwalny to w smaku nawet dobrze ukryty . Wad nie wykryto ale jakoś szału nie ma,pozatym w stylu powinno być 16-17,9 st plato, nie jest to wzorowy koźlak ale całkiem dobry, taka druga liga.

Aroma: roasted malts and melanoidins. Appearance: clear deep copper color, almost no head. Taste: low bitterness, roasted malts and caramel, melanoidins, maybe coffee substitute, semi-dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation, roasted finish. Overall: Really decent beer, nice roasted aroma and taste.

Jakoś nie przemówił do mnie teb Koźlak. Aromat nawet ok, wygląd słaby, a smak przeciętny...

Piwo ciemne ale przejrzyste. Piana beżowa i utrzymuje się kożuszek do końca. W aromacie słodowość, nuty karmelowe, suszona śliwa, kawa. W smaku słodowe z wytrawną goryczką na finiszu. Nuty paloności i karmelu również wyczuwalne.

Bottle, 50cL. Home. A beautiful clear red garnet beer ; few bubbles ; medium off-white head with a medium retention. Aroma of caramel, nut, grain, roast, herbs, licorice notes. Medium sweet ; light bitter note. Medium body, thin texture, average to soft carbnation, nutty finish. Overall, a pleasant beautiful polish beer ; delicate.

Draught as " Kozlak Ciemne" at "Specjały Regionalne” in Warsaw, smallish creamy head, quite clear very dark red color, aroma of caramel wood and some bread, flavor of caramel, dark fruits and a chocolaty hint, light pleasant bitterness. Nice and enjoyable.

Bottle at home. Clear deep amber pour. Malty, brown sugar aroma. Sweet malty body. Finishes lightly floral and sort of crisp. Not much complexity but really delicious when it warms up.

500ml dark bottle, filtered, from Polish supermarket, Southampton for Ł1.99. Nice bottle. 6.5%. This is a very pleasant and drinkable beer. I like the malt character which is quite bready. Good sweetness, few hops. My sort of beer. There’s little character, and little of interest, but it’s an enjoyable drink nevertheless. It’s strength is not quite clear, nor is it evident from the maltiness and good body, that this is a lager. This could reasonably pass for a Premium Bitter / English Strong Ale in a blind test. Put this up against Abbotts Ale or Old Speckled Hen, and there isn’t going to be much difference. Hmm, I do do that at some point. . I like this.
