kfl (61), Denmark Jun 22, 2008 (Bottle 50c, Rema) Pours clear, dark amber (almost red) with a big, frothy off-white head that mostly diminished. Very sweet malty aroma with hints of yeast, caramel and fruits (plum). Also a very sweet taste (a bit too sweet for my liking), medium body and very low bitterness.
saxo (2404), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Oct 31, 2008 Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are fruits, malt, caramel and some molasses. Immy (1599), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Aug 21, 2008 500ml bottle. Clear iced tea with a decent off white head. The sweetest toffee nose I have ever experienced, very candy-like. Flavor is not quite as over-the-top sweet, but still sweet and malty toffee, some earthiness offsets the sweetness. Hops? We need none, thank you. A good example of the style, IMO. Dedollewaitor (2182), Odense, Denmark Aug 1, 2008 50cl bottle. Pours amber with a creamy white head & lacings. Aroma & taste is filled with malts, buiscuit, sugar & caramel. On the sweet side with a vague warmth & roasty feel! Medium bodied. Drinkable! Finn (1109), Tromsø, Norway Jul 26, 2008 Bottle 0.5l at le Mirage, Tromsø. Dark brown colored. A small creamy head. Sweet candy impression all the way. Unvaried and disappointing. Eructoblaster (1272), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jul 6, 2008 Bottle - 500ml. Nice amber body with low carbonation and a thick off-white frothy head. Malty aroma with nutty, caramel, and brown sugar hints. Taste is well balanced but lacks strength. Ends with a mild bittersweet finish.
