Aroma is light to moderate malty, light to moderate hoppy, light to moderate yeasty, horse stable, peat - rubber. Flavor is moderate sweet and biter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (060808) Rune (1838), Tromsø, Norway Sep 2, 2008 Cask, third pint, early on a Thursday afternoon at GBBF 08. Pours a slightly unclear amber body with a thin, bubbly tophead. Notes of cowshed in aroma followed by a more or less decent grass-hoppy taste. Medium bodied (07.08.2008). Faint spice and yeast with some reasonable floral and citric hops in the finish. Svesse (1839), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 23, 2008 (Cask at GBBF, London, 6 Aug 2008) Pale amber colour with brief, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of orange and apricots. Golden colour, small beige head. Aroma is mild wood, some yeast and mild notes of spices. flavour is blue cheese, some hops and yeast. Also some mild herbal notes.
