COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Sam Slater is our quadruple hopped American-style Amber Ale, with lots of flavour from the high-alpha Nugget & Cascade hops, the cara-malt base and an imported American Ale yeast. So-named after the ’founding father’ of the American Industrial Revolution, from Belper!

Svesse (4215) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 2, 2011
(Cask at Euston Tap, Euston, London, 19 May 2011) Hazy golden colour with foamy, white head. Fruity nose with orange, apricots and crystal malt. Fruity, malty taste with notes of orange, apricots, crystal malt, hints of yeast and a generous, earthy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. A bit uncertain about the form, but a nice beer as it was.

DruncanVeasey (4800) - NUNEATON, Conference North, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2009
UPDATED: OCT 14, 2009 Cask handpull, The Crown, Nuneaton. Dusty red gold with a creamy white lid. Juicy Atomic-like US resins in the aroma; grapefruit and mandarin tang mingled with sulphur. Sturdy northern dryness on the palate tanging with American hop citrus; husky underpinning malts sweetening into a slatey, creamy vanilla and malted milk aftertaste. Massively enjoyable Yorkshire-US fusion that develops a dry, bittersweet, mineral soft, discreet citrus and husky malt character all of its own. Very good.
