presario (2382), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Apr 14, 2008 A 6-pack for the office. Dark amber tending to orange. A handful of tiny bubbles rise lazily to the surface. A very thin head cannot maintain complete coverage. Thin aroma, perhaps a hint of toffee or caramel. With four different hops I would have expected a stronger scent. Flavour is pedestrian maybe, but not bad. Probably a heavier body than many English versions and a noticeable light hop presence. Light caramel flavour with a bit of a hops in the finish.
JoeZasada (79), Beaumont, Alberta, Canada Apr 23, 2008 Pours a light amber / dark golden colour, thin white head... mildly hopped, full bodied maltiness, somewhat dry...
not bad, but with more hops, or some crystal malt, would be better... Tipsy_McStager (816), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Mar 20, 2008 Not much in the aroma, just a sweet maltiness. Pours a flat copper, quickly disappearing head. Watery and thin. Slightly metallic. Not a standout, and a bad omen since I haven’t tried their lager or fruit beer. DuffMan (1834), Calgary (back from 1yr in AUS), Alberta, Canada Jan 21, 2008 Clear orange amber, surprisingly flat pour with low carbonation and a very low head that vanishes quickly. Looks like a cask brew! I thought maybe it was just the initial bottle, but Parksy and I had a few more and they were all like this. Anyway, aroma of caramel and cooked peaches. Same flavour profile, but really negatively impacted by the low carbonation. A bit thin/watery (again, not helped by the flatness here).
