Not bad at all. reserva (4), Oud-Turnhout, Belgium does not count Jul 10, 2008 Dark brown beer with a beige creamy head. best consumed before july ’08 (just in time). Taste was medium sweet and very fruity. Also berries in the nose. It reminded me to Filliers bessenjenever JoeinUccle (666), Brussels, Belgium Apr 16, 2008 An interesting dubbel with nice hoppy character. Poured from 33 cL as Drongens Plezierke, bought at Beer Planet in Brussels. Very dark brown beer with red highlights, nice tan head. Nose is a blend of tart fruits and sweetish, slightly roasty malts. Flavor begins a bit tart before going fairly sweet, with a nice, moderate layer of bitterness kicking in and lasting into a dryish finish. Reminds me of a mini-Oerbier in some ways, the way it combines a little tartness with the dark malts and interesting yeast. Really a solid beer, I’d like to see it more available.
