fiulijn (5900), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jan 16, 2003 2 years old Beautiful ruby amber color; generous, creamy head. Malt aroma; caramel; light fruitness (cherry-like). Dry and sour taste, refreshing; malt (and a residual sweetness) with some fruity hint (light cherries...). I would rather define it as a Flemish Sour Ale.

Pours a nice, red-brown with a medium, creamy, beige head. Aroma has lots of raisins, some oakiness, chocolate, plums and a great yeasty note. A good, frothy, lightly creamy, mouthfee - just a tad on the thin side, perhapsl. Flavour has good chocolate, yeast and a good deal of dried fruits. Nice. bierkoning (4940), La Tropica, Netherlands Sep 22, 2008 7,5% ABV, according to the bottle label. Dark brown color. Caramel and coreander in the aroma. Caramelly sweet flavor with ginger, coreander, mint, vanilla and anis. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Sticky mouthfeel.
