Bright yellow colored with cloudy appearance. Little white head. Handmade-yeasty, not very clean aroma with some glue tones. Thin to medium bodied. Lemony flavor with glue and same handmade tone, not very good one.

50cl, tap at the brewpub Bamberg. Golden color, white head, unfiltered Aroma is citrus / lemon. Taste is sweet, sugary and malty. Many who critique the place forget that the place is a micro brewery and not a brewery, and also the youngest of Bamberg’s beer brewers.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy pale yellow, small head. Fruity yellow plum aroma. Medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel. Clean and soft malt, but well sweet and with notes of spun sugar. Fairly low bitterness. Soft, but a bit sterile.

(7/2/08) Draught at the brewpub in Bamberg. Yellow to pale golden color. Aroma of pale malt. Sweetish malty flavor. Light to medium body. Not a whole lot of character.

On draught at the brewpub. Pale golden colour. Pretty malty, fruity aroma with hops detected. Mouthfeel is pretty big and malty, yet low bitterness. Not to bad.

imdownthepub (9954) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2008
On tap at Ambrausianum Brewpub in Bamberg. Clouded gold with slight head. It seems like quite an amateur effort this, a homebrew rather than a saleable beer. Very bready, yeasty in character, quite tart and lacking any depth. Dodgy.

Draft at the brauhaus in Bamberg. Unfiltered bright yellow colored body, slightly hazy, with a white head and active, rising bubbles. Clean yeast and dusty fruit in the nose. Flavor of dry fruit, yeasty, chewy dough and fresh lemon, drying slightly in the finish. Tart fruit at times, other times somewhat sweet. Pretty good beer overall, no complaints from me.

Maria (10121) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 9, 2008
From tap at the brewery. Hazy, warm golden with a small, dense head. The aroma has notes of fruity hops and malt. The flavour has a light sweetness with notes of malt. It’s a bit annonomous and IMO a bit stale and the bitterness is very low.

[on tap at brewpub] Fresh hops and apricot aroma with some plums, strawberries, sweet malt, and a tiny hint of banana. Almost clear amber with a while flanel blanket on top that leaves nice lacing. Excellent malt flavour followed by some floral hops and medium bitterness. Quite biscuity. Medium body, good carbonation, a tad mouth coating.

Ernest (6142) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - FEB 14, 2008
Draught, Ambräusianum, Bamberg. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (flowers), with light notes of gum and mint. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Neat aroma, but too sweet (a trademark of this brewery).
