3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewpub Slightly off-white, creamy head with an excellent lace. Mostly diminishing head. Hazy, lightly yellow body. Aroma of grass and citrus. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter initial flavour. Moderately bitter finish. A very lovely fruity flavour of oranges. Lightly bodied. Well balanced and refreshing. Strange though that the good initial impression weakens out after drinking more of it.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught Fully cloudy amber-straw beer; off-white head, leaving lace. Green beer nose, sweet malts, freshly mowed grass - and pineapple. Sweetish, grainy and malty beer. Not completely fermented worts. Quite some body, but again, it’s the effect of being partly unfermented. Why haven’t Germany’s new microbrewers anymore patience?

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the brewpub. Hazy yellow unfiltered with herbal aroma. Lightly hoppy aftertaste with fruity middle. Very hard carbonation is the Achilles heel of this beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap, at the Brewpub, July 2004. Hazy peach, thin but lasting off white head and gentle condition. Initial snatch of sulphur that soon disappears under an assault of hops in the nose, sweet and malty in the mouth with a touch of yeastiness but well balanced by some good solid hop flavour. Finish is long and initially sweet but the hops again shine through. An ususualy well hopped helles, deserving of wider recognition.
