2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tap at brewpub. Blonde, cloudy. Thin. Grainy flavor with cabbage and citrus. Uninteresting vegetable-like aroma. Luckily it was just a small glass in a Bierprobe.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
(On tap) Slightly hazy pale golden with a nice, white head leaving laces. Fresh and floral nose. Medium body, sweetish malty - and again with these floral notes from the hops that don’t add much bite though. 071106

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
(draught at the Ambräusianum, Bamberg) Hazy, yellow colour with a frothy white medium head. Dusty, sweet wheat-malty and slightly skunky, unripe aroma. Sweet malty, wheaty taste with light fruity notes (citrus), light to medium bodied with a lively carbonated, almost fizzy mouthfeel; malty and yeasty finish. I thought it was a Weizen at first. Dishonourable for Bamberg standards (16.06.06).

Draught at the brewery, a cloudy pale yellow with a large creamy white head. An interesting strong buttery aroma, slightly smoky with a little spice. Smoky flavours with some touches of wheat and a smooth mouthfeel.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewpub Slightly off-white, creamy head with an excellent lace. Mostly diminishing head. Hazy, lightly yellow body. Aroma of grass and citrus. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter initial flavour. Moderately bitter finish. A very lovely fruity flavour of oranges. Lightly bodied. Well balanced and refreshing. Strange though that the good initial impression weakens out after drinking more of it.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught Fully cloudy amber-straw beer; off-white head, leaving lace. Green beer nose, sweet malts, freshly mowed grass - and pineapple. Sweetish, grainy and malty beer. Not completely fermented worts. Quite some body, but again, it’s the effect of being partly unfermented. Why haven’t Germany’s new microbrewers anymore patience?
