Commercial Description:
Mashed with special yeast, in accordance with the method of the bottom fermentation. That is what gives it its smoothness and its incomparable flavour. Its natural colour comes from a mixture of carefully roasted malts.

This beer pours a Tenné (Tawny) color with small to medium size bubbles and slightly thinner head. Slight aromas of straw and bananas with fruit acidity. Alcoholic sharpness even at only 6.4% finishes with a metallic after taste.

This doesn’t have the qualities that one comes to in expect in a Bière de Garde and it seemed more like an amber ale with subdued fruitiness,. Page 247 of MJ’s Great Beer Guide and only 159 of his 500 Classic Brews to go .
