3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 14, 2005
(Bottled, BBE 09/2004 - 11 months ago) Opaque dark amber color with a medium, foamy and lasting, a bit lacy head. Toffee-caramely aroma with lots of acidity, some berries and something stingy (yet unidentified). Sweet, acidic flavor of unfermented malt, toffee and caramel, plus berries. Peppery, bitter and acidic finish. ABV well hidden. Medium-bodied, sweet and foamy-carbonated palate. One of the many brews Huyghe shouldn’t be that proud of. Strange it’s still so sweet way after the BBE date.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 JensenTaster (1718) - DENMARK - MAR 4, 2008
(on bottle, thanks thewolf) Sunflower and canesugar in the aromas. Waterish and thin body; but the finish gets all vanilla and sweet tobacco + peat andnutmeg; nice catch.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 yngwie (9175) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 23, 2008
Bottle, thx to thewolf. Pours a hazy, orange-brown with lots of floaties of all sizes, from the tinyest small to big chunks. Beige head leaving nice lacings. Malty-sweet flavor with fruityness and some pale malt. Fruity, caramel flavor with some hoppy bitterness and a little spiced touch. Quite dry. Fruity and slightly caramel-sweet finish. Decent beer, but far from impressing. (080301)

(Bottle 75 cl) This version from "Brasserie Duwac" in Mouscron. A beer brewed in celebration of Jacques Brel? Amber coloured with a huge but collapsing head leaving to traces. Flavour of caramel and some candi sugar. But certainly not a great beer. 310799
