Clean golden body, stable off white head. Spicy tripel like aroma and bready malts. Cereal even. Taste is equally blond yet spiced, medium bitter and well developed yet not dry, rather a simple clean yeast. Fairly long finish. Better than expected. A standard yet well executed Belgian tripel/blond. (33cl bottle from Bierparadijs)

BlackHaddock (2432) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 30, 2013
The first beer in a random tasting evening. 33cl Bottle (BBD of 07/2013) poured at home into a Duvel glass on 30/05/2013, very slowly, as I didn’t want to wake up the sleeping sediment. Still came out with a slight haze to its golden body, on top a white head, full but thin. Carbonisation bubbles rising through the body to replenish the fading head (and failing to do so). Having said that there was some good lacing on the glass as the beer level dropped. Yeasty and hop laden in the nose with a semi-sweetness from the malts, some spices (corriander mostly) too. The taste followed the aromas too the letter, just add alcohol and mixed basket of citrus fruits, both sour and sweet (oranges and lemons). Complex and tasty with that typical Belgian feel that Belgium’s brewers always seem to produce in their better beers.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Yeasty and mildly malty aroma with hints of citrus and present coriander spice. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a tame carbonation. Mildly fruity and malty taste, slightly wheaty with loads of spicy notes, mainly coriander; sweet malt-accented and spicy finish with a restrained level of bitterness. Rather mediocre and not so “different”. 6.I.13

Thanks for sharing john! Pours a hazy light yellow color. Nice white head. Smell is yeast, spice, light malt. Taste is spicy, yeasty some nice fruit notes as well. Carbonation is very nice fine structure and smooth. Overall a very easily drinkable blond but nicely interesting.
