Dunkles, rot-braunes Stout mit großer, stabiler Blume. Aromen: Röstmalz, florale Noten. Im Antrunk leicht süßlich, starke Röstmalze. Später: erdig-holzig, frisch gerösteter Kaffee. Genial im Abgang.

300 ml bottle, from trade with ShivanDragon, thanks! Into a snifter, ABV 6.5% Brown colour, clear, with a tall, light beige head, very thick and soapy, with excellent retention and thick lacing left on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, with a bit of chocolate and a tiny hint of cola. Taste has a lot of roasted malts too, a bit sweet but turns nicely bitter on the aftertaste with lots of coffee notes. Nice body, medium thick, good carbonation. Overall a very enjoyable stout.

Countbeer (4741) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - AUG 31, 2013
Bottle: Thanks ShivanDragon: Served in a Chouffe glass: Amber brown pour. Very big vanilla beige foamy head that slowly changes. Underneath silently a deep dark ruby red colored beer appears. Aromas of toast, chestnut, bread, carbo gass, some malt toast and bread/light rye. Flavours of cream, marzepin, malts, nuts, toast, malt toast, some caramel and wood toast, bitters, floral and hay tones and a sprinkle of yeast. Aftertaste is toast, barley malt toast, some hay toast, bitters, hint of coffee and light dry malty light wood ish tone. Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture. Nice, pretty crisp and almost too easy drinkable. :-)

Bottle [from trade with Shivandragon] shared with Dutchdrebus. Muddy very dark brown color, medium sized beige head. Smell malts, slightly iron, molasses, slightly some sweetness from overripe fruits. Tastes about the same: malts, a touch of caramel, lightly molasses and ripe fruits with a touch of bitterness in the finish. Medium but suitable body and carbonation. Pretty nice beer.

Bottle @ home thx to benzai. Dark brown with a ruby glow, small beige head. Smells roasty, dark malts, some iron, some chocolate. Tastes slightly roasty, just a hint of chocolate, chocolate bitterness. Medium body, soft carbo.

een welkome afwisseling tussen al de lentebieren. Tevens een goed geslaagde stout! #2e rating thuis vol flesje, hmm deze tweede keer bevalt hij mij toch een stukje minder, rating iets aangepast!

Sample at PINT Lentebierfestival
Welcome stout at a festival with mostly light coloured wheat beers and spring beers. Clear dark brown, beige head. Malty base, roasted malts, some smoke and coffee and a bit medicinal. Low to medium body, ok carbo.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass very dark, almost black. Starts fine malty, not too roasty, interesting coffee notes. Finish drier, hints of chocolate. Warming-malty finish. Nice!
