Spuiter. Opaque pale yellow, short lasting white foam. Typical witbier aroma, but lacking a bit in taste, could have a bit more spunk to it. Gift from neighbours, thanks. (Velp 201508)

Tasting at Amelander Bierbrouwerij. Hazy yellow / golden with a small to medium white head. Light to medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Nice sweetness with subtle bitter tones. Citrus, hay, banana and some herbs. A tasty refreshing witbier.

30 cl fles. Gekocht op Ameland en gedronken @home. Schuim verdwijnt direct. Proeft aanvankelijk als een IPA.

Bottle 300 ml, thanks ShivanDragon! Into a weizen glass, ABV 5.5% Pours a golden orange colour on the body, with a huge white head, very thick, soapy, with fantastic retention. Thick lacing left on the glassís walls as the foam collapses slowly. Lots of activity in the glass, with hundreds tiy bubbles rising lazily to the surface. Aroma is very fruity. some wheat too but just a bit on the back. Very hoppy too. Taste follows the aroma, very hoppy, very fruity, with an intense bitterness from the very first moment. The bitterness persists on the aftertaste with long duration. Medium thin body, good carbonation with a tiny bite on the tongue, dry palate. Overall a great beer. I was expecting a hefeweizen by looking the label on the bottle, I see here is listed as a Belgian White, but it is neither, more like wheat ale and a very tasty one.

Bottle: Thanks ShivanDragon: Served in a Chouffe glass: Almost gusher. Hazy yellow pour. Medium to bigger sized but pretty quick diminishing white to off white foamy head on top of a hazy to almost murky yellow colored beer. Aromas of hops, citrus, carbo gass, some wheat, grains, hay, some light lemon and grapefruit notes, bit IPA ish. Very nice. Flavours of hops, hop fruity, citrus, apricot, grapefruit, bitters, light flower tones, some grass, hay, light malty, hints of wheat, grains, herbs and floral tones. Again quite IPA ish. Very nice. Aftertaste is bitter, floral, hoppy, hop fruuty like grapefruit and apricot and some malt tints. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller body and a creamy texture. (Btw, this is not a Witbier!) Wow, very nice beer. Easy, thirstcleanching, tasty, hoppy and bitter. Not much wrong with if you ask me!

30cl Bottle, bought on Ameland. Hazy pale yellow with a green-ish hue, white head. Aroma of lemon, lime, coriander seed. Flavour is light tart, lemon, light plastic yeasty notes, nutmeg, coriander seed, refreshing citrus finish with a little bitterness. Light-bodied. Nice and easy drinking.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass not too zippy, very small head. Starts intense yeasty, strong, fine malty notes. Fruity like old apples. Finish a bit unbalanced, a bit alcoholic-warming. Okay.
