Another gift from "cheap", I did like this version better than the watered down version of this beer. Good cheap beer that you need to keep in the fridge for grass cutting, and friends over that dont appreciate good micros. Decent for price, and is it really 5%abv?

Medium sized white smooth head with sparse lacing, transparent, carbonated, and a yellow hue. Malty and corn aroma. Blah, uninteresting, malty, and corn flavor no why I see it was 9.99 a case

From can, courtesy of Snoop59. Light hoppy notes with corn. Sweet with some alcohol. WalMart, mullets, and Cope. Pale golden clear with thin head. Light body and light carbonation. Go Merica! Sweet corn and honey, no bitterness. Fairly clean after. Not horrible, great for sitting on the porch watching the bug zappers.

Can. Poured a pale clear gold with a quickly dissipating white soda like head. Aroma flavor was full of adjuncts with a bit of a grain note. Flavor was similar with plenty of adjunct (corn) and a bit of grass and hay.

The main appeal to American is the cost. Its really cheap and something that poor college kids have no trouble sharing with their friends. Its inexpensive and its not terrible. It looks and smells like most other macro lagers and it is relatively drinkable. Serving type: can Reviewed on: 03-05-2007 19:28:13

Can, brewed in Vietnam. Pours a pale ugly yellow with scant fizzy head that dissipates fast. Smells like building materials, cement, tiles, and particle board with a mild unripe pear gloss on top. Medium level of carbonation. Not too gassy, not too sticky. The flavors are bland but has some fruity character and the pretense of hops. The aftertaste is unfortunately acrid. It wants to be a pils but fails.

Brewed under license by the Phu Yen Beverage Company in Vietnam. Skillfully hunted in Nha Trang. Lovely pale straw colour with no head. When I poured it, it smelled like apple juice but that blew off to reveal grains, maybe some sourness, and mustiness of a non-happy, non-lambic type. Taste of mineral water mixed with post-teethbrushing apple juice. Finishes sticky and with paint-like, gluey notes. Yum.

Pours a clear yellow, with a thick white head that was really bubbly. Could be mistaken for water with yellow food coloring. Skunky smell from this one. Goes down ok. May not be the best tasting beer, but how can you not love this can!

Thanks to 17thfloor for this patriotic salute to the American way! Pours a sweet ginger ale pale yellow with a small quickly dissipating head. Gigantic bubbles! Aroma is harsh and grainy, sharp and biting in a bad way. Old corny stale water is kind of the idea. Flavor is less offensive but just as bland and watery. Malts and a bit sourish. Lightest body possible and a sharp soda like carbonation. Bleck! Love the can though, Id give that an 9 out of 10!
