The silver screen era of film was riddled with as much secrecy as it was glamour. One of the best kept was the Society of Blondes - a group of golden blonde bombshells who were as powerful as they were beautiful. Codenamed Ms. H, Ms. L, Ms. T, Ms. G, and of course Ms. M, their plan was simple: quell the thirst of every man in America with their unbridled femininity, bubbly demeanor and golden locks, thus claiming this land for the blondes. It’s up to you to decide whether or not their diabolical plan worked. Nevertheless, our flavorful and full-bodied American Blonde Ale’s golden straw color, delicate hop notes and citrusy aroma was created in their honor. Prepare to be seduced.

Bottle date: unk A: pours a yellow ale with no head and near excellent clarity. No lace. Meh. S: Smells mostly of butter and corn. Not much else. No hops. Some sweet malt I guess, but I feel like I’m stretching it. T: Tastes like the smell I recall from my grandpa when he drank upwards of two cases of ranier daily. Not good. A sweet, chemical flavor with some slight grassy tones. M: Thin and slightly carbonated. Needs much more carbonation. O: Nope. Serving type: bottle 09-01-2011

Bomber bought for a friends son to broaden his horizons. Hazy amber with an off white head. Very mild, some lemon, stale caramel, high carbonation, mild body, probably suffered compared to what else was being drunk but found it skunky and not enjoyable.

Bottle. Since I married and American Blonde, I’m drinking this one as my 2500th rating. Pours a hazy dark golden color with a very thick white head on it. Nose is decently spicy, I find, with just a hint at some banana in there as well. Taste is just a little sweet, and feels very light and smooth. Really nice easy drink for the summer.

Serving: from tap at Zippy’s Giant Burgers. Aroma: light floral hops. Appearance: very small, white, initial head that quickly dissipated. No lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Hazy, medium-yellow body. Taste: moderately sweet, wheaty initial flavor and finish with average duration. Palate: light bodied with oily texture and soft carbonation. Overall: very good and easy to drink. Great summer beer.

Disclaimer: I sell and make wine, and know only slightly more about beer than the average beer drinker.... Appearance: Cloudy, dark straw, creamy head. Aromatic: Started out with wet cement and lime leaf maybe some basil and Meyer lemon. Developed into vanillin and toasted almond notes. (Might be due to pouring into the same glass used to drink Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier just prior...) Taste: Lemon peel, subtle white flowers, mellow hops. Touch of raw bread dough. Delicious over steeped green tea finish. Palate: Med bodied. Crisp start, some wariness on finish. Definitely a beer I want to try again, this time in an unsmoked glass.

Light grain, straw, soft citrus, and light floral notes, perhaps a little biscuit. Pours straw golden, thin head. Flavors of soft grain, hay, light lemon, earth, and a little grassy floral notes. Fairly standard, not much going on, not flawed.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy pale blond color, small creamy head. The aroma is mild, some wheat and some lemon. Dry mouthfeel; light flavor of wheat, with a delicate lemony touch; low bitterness, although adequate to this beer.
Simple but refreshing.

23 dec 2012, bottle. Pale but almost florescent yellow, faintly hazy. Nose is straw and dead grass. Meh. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Has a herbal hop taste. Not impressive at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I bought this in a Haggen in Washington State and the beer department dude recommended it. It’s a great summer beer. Slightly malty, slightly cirtus and very refreshing
