On tap in Seattle. Nice hop and citrus nose. It’s a cloudy orange yellow. Thin head, lots of lacing. Crisp citrus attack. Nice bite. Dry finish. Yumm
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheBrewSherpa (269) - Belvidere, New Jersey, USA - AUG 3, 2012
Poured from a 22 ounce bomber into a shaker glass.
A: Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a one-finger, tan head of bubbly foam. Nice retention dissipates into some sudsy lace on the glass.
S: Hop forward, with much citrus, some pine and floral notes, with just a hint of malt sweetness in the background.
T: A stronger hop presence than in the nose, but still not a hop bomb with lots of malty sweetness in the flavor.
M: Pretty heavily bodied, hoppy, crisp and bitter.
O: An undistinguished IPA in the plethora of the style.
Serving: bottle

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 luttonm (1629) - Belgrade, SERBIA - JUL 18, 2012
22oz Bottle. Deep hazed orange body, chalky head. Honey Mead are on nose with citrus hops. Smooth, cool body that does not punch much. Caramel tinged, sweeter IPA. Very tasty but not exactly what I’m looking for in this style.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 19Ei8hty (1076) - Washington, USA - JUL 2, 2012
Bold orange hued amber body with a tall frothy tan head. Fresh grainy bread malt body. Dry malt backbone that is simple yet expressive with a selection of quality ingredients. A touch of toffee and light caramel. Bold sharp hop presence. High impact citrus character with a sharp kick of spice and peppery pine. Crisp finish that borders on the thin side but does so thoughtfully as the light malt punch lets the hops, which - simcoe and amarillo- are well chosen and compliment the base extremely well. I count myself lucky to have randomly chosen this beer for my 1000th rating.
3.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 jaydubbelu (14) - Monroe, USA - JUN 19, 2012
Nice orange pour with a thin lacing head. Floral and bread notes. Some citrus rind alone with a little earth. Feels good in the mouth with a roundness from the malt. Skip’s love of simcoe is apparent with the piney finish. A fine example of a west coast ipa
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Caskalefan (120) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Pretty complex IPA...biscuity, fruity (peaches, mandarin oranges, apricots, even a hint of pears, graham cracker, lots of pine resin, very long finish.
I loved Skip’s beers at Boundary Bay, I loved Skip’s beers at Water Street, and I love Skip’s beers at American Brewing!
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BARLEYWINEO (106) - Tacoma, USA - APR 28, 2012
A: Poured a deep sluggish orange color with good carbonation and a nice white cap
S: Bread and flowers pretty much sums it up
T: Flower bouquet with a big breadiness and some grains on the end, a medium bite from the hops on the medium to back end
M: A bit heavy and chewy, definitely not refreshing and easy to drink.
O: Average IPA
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Aubrey (3341) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - APR 18, 2012
Tasty IPA with a solid malt backbone that’s loaded with caramel flavors. Lesser notes of toast and crackers. Hops are earthy, floral and herbal. Balanced bitterness. Fruity, too, with gummy elements of apricots, peaches and pears. Very drinkable and sessionable. I happily drink this beer wherever I see it.
