COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the end of a fabled week during the winter of 1980, in a fever-pitched Olympic stadium, one hockey game changed the course of American sports history. Barroom legend has it that the night before the underdog American team took to the ice with no chance of winning, world champion coach Herb Brooks took a sip of a bold and simple ale that inspired the bold and simple words that inspired a team to become legends. Now we ask you, what was the true miracle on February 2, 1980? We can’t be sure what the exact formula was for Brooks’ inspiration. But this IPA’s bold and aromatic blend of floral and citrus hard checks your nose and follows it up with a medium intense hop bitterness that doesn’t linger. We shot. We scored.

650ml bottle pours a golden orangeish color with 3 fingers of white head with great retention and leaving some lovely lacing on the glass. Aroma is citrusy and earthy hops. Taste is citrusy and earthy hop bitterness balanced nicely with some malty sweetness. A great IPA with a medium body and spritzy carbonation leaving a nice tingle on the palate.

I love IPAs and I drink a lot of them. This is the best one I’ve had. Wonderful floral, citrus and even grapefruit aroma. Perfect balance of bitterness and malt. Fantastic dry hop finish!

Clear dark golden color/ ivory head. Floral, citrus hop aromas. Medium bodied. Grapefruit, pine hoppy flavors on a solid pale malt base--good.

A good looking beer. Cloudy copper color with small beige head. Balanced but gentle in the nose with malt and pine notes. Soft caramel malt up front and citrusy-pine quickly takes over. Nice medium hop finish, that leaves the mouth tingling.

Bomber. Pours a deep gold and rusted orange color with foamy beige head. Aroma is a blend of floral hops, candied citrus and earthty malt notes. The taste opens up with strong herbal hops bitterness and ruby red grapefruit flavors along with some pine and alcohol at the end. Underneath it all is a solid toasted malt backbone. The body is mildly creamy with medium-level carbonation and a citrusy, bitter finish. Well-balanced with a good dose of hops flavors.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy light amber with a foamy 3 finger off-white head. Lots of hop aroma - starts like pine but goes citrus. Med body. There’s lots of hop over a nice caramel backbone. But the hop seems primarily resinous. Then at the finish it’s grapefruit rind. Passing challenging. Really good, really hoppy.

22oz bottle. I’ve had this when it first came out, but haven’t had it since the recipe fell under American Brewing. Pours a hazed light copper gold with a smaller tight slightly off white head that leaves some lacing. Bready malt forward with hints of resinous pine infused orange marmalade. More balanced in the malt profile on the palate, with the hops having light citrus in the front to mid but remaining bitter throughout and finishing with a lingering bitter resin. A little bit of chewiness in the body as well. This taste much better in the bottle than previous draft samples I have had.
